Since 1919, The New School has been a “center for discussion and instruction for mature men and women.” It began offering a bachelor’s degree program for returning veterans and other adults in the 1940s and continues this rich tradition today. Our forward-looking university is composed of five extraordinary schools and colleges, where students across disciplines find the support they need to be a force of collaboration, innovation, and cross-cultural expression.
