Local news A glorious summer’s day greeted the wedding of Miss Lucy Amanda Tarran (younger daughter of Mr Norman & Mrs Susan Tarran) with Mr Alan James Lashmar (son of Mr Christopher and Mrs Barbara Lashmar) The bride was radiant in an Alfred Angelo strapless gown of ivory satin adorned with crystal & sequin embroidery & a half cathedral train. Her veil was held by a diamante tiara & matching pins. She was attended by her elder sister Mrs Julia Stanbury and her childhood friend Miss Hazel Headley in full length strapless gowns of cobalt blue georgette. All three carried posies of cream rosebuds. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Scarlett Lashmar wearing a white chiffon ballerina length dress & blue sash scattered with floating embroidered butterflies, and carrying a fairy wand embellished with a single rose. Best man was the groom’s friend Mr Mark Brown, and page boys Adam Lashmar & Daniel Stanbury also attended.
The bride’s mother wore a floral dress of pink, lilac & teal on ivory organza with an ivory organza picture hat and matching stole. The groom’s mother wore an African Violet 2-piece ensemble with matching feather fascinator. The reception & wedding breakfast were held at the Beaufort Park Hotel at Alltami. Lucy & Alan will live in Ellesmere Port.
