New Hall School Careers Programme 2024/2025 - Sixth Form
Intent: The Careers Programme for students in Years 12 and 13 intends to provide information and experiences that will enable students to make informed decisions about their post-18 options and develop the skills required for the world of work.
Implementation: Students will complete dedicated Careers lessons through the PSHEE programme and these will be supported by careers learning delivered in lessons linking careers to the curriculum, visiting speakers and co-curricular activities, including Careers Day, Work Experience and employer/university visits.
Impact: Students will be aware of the full range of post-18 options, including Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, so they are able to make informed decisions that are both aspirational and realistic. Students will have an understanding of the changing nature of the labour market and develop the skills necessary to manage their own career.
