NEW – product innovations 2014 1
new product family: leXsolar SmartControl leXsolar-SmartControl is a highly innovative measurement and control system for experimental and training purpose. It is fully compatible to all leXsolar experiment kits and training systems but can also be used separately. All components are easy to use, robust and have manifold applications in training and education. All modules of leXsolar-SmartControl can either be used manually or operated with a computer or tablet. Manual operation is done by touchpads on the modules while measurement values can be read from an integrated display.
By connecting leXsolar USB-Connect or leXsolar Wireless-Connect to the module the computer takes control of it. When putting the Connector onto the module it is magnetically hold. The easy to use leXsolar-SmartConrol software allows a user-friendly operation of all features of the modules and the extraction of the measurement values to the computer. The software is available for all platforms including Windows, Androis and iOS. Release date: May 2014

Target audience: school leXsolar-SmartGrid Small now including the fuel cell as standard. The overall price has been lowered! NEW leXsolar-SmartGrid Large Objective of this product is to set up a smart grid with different new energy sources especially wind and sun in a student experiment. Various energy generation profiles can be selected and its effect on the system can be investigated. Different storages and consumers allow the operation of a complex smart grid and to operate and study manifold real scenarios.

Like the other products of the Ready togo series, this product is chara cterized by easy handling as well as a flexible and independent use at a wide variety of locations. Any other accessories will not be necessary. Again, the product is designed like a SmartGrid on laboratory scale. Basic experiments about wind and solar energy plus storage technologies are round off this product.
The complex interaction of renewable energies, energy storages and consumers is an important educational objective in the field of vocational and technical training. leXsolar-SmartGrid Professional allows to set up a complete smart grid in laboratory scale including its measurement and control. With prearranged as well as user-defined scenarios students are able to gain a comprehensive knowledge of smart grids and its control by conducting laboratory tutorials. The control software uses the SCADA-architecture. The product also allows various fundamental experiments on wind and solar energy as well as storage technologies.

The solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is a technology using ceramics as electrolytes which makes it a highly efficient and reliable technology. In contrast to PEM fuel cells, SOFC technology has already been implemented in real applications not only for demonstration.

leXsolar-ThermalEnergy Ready-to-go 2.0 With this product the various technologies of solar thermal energy conversion can be implemented into education. This does not only involve different solar collector systems with or without a pump but also concentrated solar power (CSP) with a parabolic trough or a Peltier element for direct electric energy production. Another key feature are fundamental thermodynamics experiments like absorption of heat radiation or heat convection that allows a deep understanding of the physics behind the applications. According to Ready-to-go philosophy this product is flexible to use everywhere without any other necessary accessories. Release date: March 2014
