Historic New Castle is made up of more than just old buildings, furniture, artifacts and industries that have come and gone. Our town tells the stories of individuals who came from many places and all walks of life, but shared a common perseverance and hope for a prosperous new future. It is incumbent on us to pass on the stories of these individuals, to save what they built and to teach the next generation to understand the importance of those who came before us.
While our work is, first and foremost, to honor and preserve our history, the NCHS also builds community and welcomes visitors from near and far to enjoy our charming cobblestone streets, brick pathways and friendly faces.

An investment in the New Castle Historical Society supports the past, present and future of our home.
NCHS’s work to keep our small town vibrant and preserve its history directly helps its corporate citizens attract and retain talented staff and faithful customers.
