IMPACT OF THE KANSAS ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM

etWork Kansas was created by the Kansas Economic Growth Act (KEGA) of 2004. NetWork Kansas o ers essential financial resources, valuable relationships, expert knowledge and experience through our partner networks to empower entrepreneurs.
NetWork Kansas receives a portion of its funding (approximately $390,000 annually) through the Kansas Department of Commerce via Economic Development Initiative Funds (EDIF). KEGA also created the Entrepreneurship Tax Credit which allows NetWork Kansas to raise additional funds. The tax credit is $2 million annually.
NetWork Kansas also pursues and receives funds through federal and philanthropic grants to provide entrepreneurship programs, technical assistance, and loan funds to Kansas entrepreneurs. In its history, NetWork Kansas has received funds from the Economic Development Association, USDA, US Department of Treasury, and from philanthropic organizations such as the Kau man Foundation, Pa erson Family Foundation, and the Kansas Health Foundation.
Ninety percent of NetWork Kansas funds are used for entrepreneurship programs, technical assistance, and capital programs for Kansas entrepreneurs working through its 650+ partner network and 75 Entrepreneurship Community Partnerships. Ten percent of funds are utilized for NetWork Kansas operations.

“RPI does not exist without TDI, NetWork Kansas and GROWKS because without them, none of this would have happened. Hopefully we can pay that back by continuing to add jobs and bring sales and more business to the State of Kansas.”
