HUIS – CLOS / ΚΕΚΛΕΙΣΜΈΝΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΘΥΡΩΝ

«Και αν η άποψη των άλλων για σένα είναι αρνητική, σε έναν κόσµο όπου όλοι οι άλλοι είναι το παν – τότε φίλε µου καλωσόρισες στην κόλαση.»

Οι εννέα αυτές πιανιστικές µονογραφίες γράφτηκαν σε διαφορετικές χρονικές περιόδους, αλλά συνδέονται υφολογικά µέσα από µία ατµόσφαιρα σκοτεινή αν όχι

κλειστοφοβική. Η µουσική µοιάζει µε θεατρικό τοπίο όπου η εστίαση δεν είναι απαραίτητα στην πλοκή, αλλά στην ψυχολογική κατάσταση των πρωταγωνιστών, που σταδιακά συνειδητοποιούµε ότι είµαστε εµείς οι ίδιοι.

Υπ΄αυτή την έννοια, η επιλογή του τίτλου Huis –Clos, δεν είναι τυχαία: εµπνευσµένο από το βιβλίο Κεκλεισµένων των Θυρών του Σαρτρ, ο πιανιστικός αυτός κύκλος, εξερευνά την έννοια της αλλοτρίωσης, της αποξένωσης από τον ίδιο µας τον εαυτό, τον λαβύρινθο από σκοτεινούς καθρέφτες και αντικατοπτρισµούς µέσα στους οποίους σκύβουµε µε αγωνία για να βρούµε την πραγµατική εικόνα µας.

Όµως, ο προσωπικός δρόµος προς την σωτηρία, τελικά δεν περνάει µέσα από την κρίση των άλλων, αλλά βρίσκεται µέσα από το φως που εµείς έχουµε να προσφέρουµε. Όχι µε τρόπο υπερβατικό, αλλά απλά ανθρώπινο, έξω από κανόνες

και κοινωνικές συµβάσεις. Σηµασία εποµένως, δεν έχουν οι ηθικές αντιλήψεις και οι σκέψεις – µα οι πράξεις µας στο εδώ και τώρα, εκείνο που εµείς επιλέγουµε ως απόλυτη αναγκαιότητα κατά την διάρκεια αυτής της σύντοµης ζωής.

HUIS – CLOS / CLOSED DOORS

"And if other people's opinion of you is negative, in a world where everyone else means everything to you - then my friend, welcome to hell."

These nine pianistic monographs were written in different time periods, but they are linked stylistically through a dark, if not claustrophobic atmosphere. The music is like a theatrical landscape where the focus is not necessarily on the plot, but on the psychological state of the protagonists, who, we gradually realize, are ourselves.

In this sense, the choice of the title ‘Huis-Clos’ is not accidental: inspired by Sartre's book, this piano cycle explores the concept of alienation, alienation from ourselves, the labyrinth of dark mirrors and mirages into which we anxiously bend to find our true image.

However, ultimately, the personal path to salvation, in the end, does not pass through the judgment of others, but it is found in the light that we ourselves have to offer; not in a transcendental, but rather a simply human way, free from rules and social conventions. Therefore, it is not moral concepts and thoughts that matter, but our actions in the here and now - what we choose as an absolute necessity during this short life.
