Letter From The Owner Welcome to your new home. Our hope is that you are as blessed by this home as our family has been. Rathlin Drive has been such a joy to us, we cannot begin to list all of the things the we love about this home.

So much of life is spent on the roomy and versatile main level. The side double door entry always makes us feel like we are walking into a single family home. The unique oak floors bring a clean and homey feel. The recently replaced (2012) double storm doors and slider out to the deck provide great access and light. The living room and dining room are spacious and functional, great for both entertaining and children playing. Breakfast at the kitchen table watching the speckled woodpeckers and cardinals will always be great memories. The gigantic new (10/2013) 30 cu ft. refrigerator is a god send to a growing family.

The bright and sunny upstairs provides a quiet refuge. So many mornings are spent lying in bed, the sun streaming through the updated windows listening to birdsong from the woods all around. The kids bedrooms double as retreats to play quietly and read books. The remodeled master bath is a great comfort while the pull down attic stairs provide ample extra storage space.

The basement has become a great functional space. The main room with fireplace provides ample space to watch a movie with friends and family. It also provides a great space to close the door and let kids be kids. The large room still leaves space for a very large storage area.

Our family loves the outdoors and all that this home and neighborhood have to offer. We have spent uncountable Summer evenings on the fully replaced (2010) composite deck with friends and family. The yard, and trails though out the neighborhood uncover hidden playgrounds and abundant wild life. The pool has been a wonderful place to spend our summer days. The tennis court hidden across the street is always available for a quick match or a flat space to learn to ride bikes. If you are commuting into DC or the Pentagon, you could not ask for a better location. My commute is the envy of my coworkers. Bus service within the neighborhood runs express routes to the Pentagon Metro while Springfield metro is just minutes away. The commuter ‘slug lines’ provide fast free rides into the city. Add in all of the new dining and retail options in West Springfield, it’s simply a great community to call home.

It is with mixed feelings we say goodbye to Rathlin Drive. We purchased this home just before we were married. It has continually grown with us as a family. The office became a nursery. The garden and trees became a mini play ground. Each of our four children call it their first home. The memories we’ve shared we will last a lifetime. We truly hope that your family will make wonderful memories of your own.

Sincerely, The Lanthiers
