Danny Orr place in the barn at Harrow Wood Farm. This year the club held eleven club championship rounds and five midweek summer series trials as well as several club training sessions. The trials were well supported averaging 65 riders per trial coming from across the South of England including a healthy youth section. Compare Brian Page presented the awards with his usual good natured humour to 10
a full house of award winners. The highlights - Tom Copp and Mike Powdrell tied on points at the end of the season in the experts class reflecting the close competition this year. There were five different winners but Copp had more victories than Powdrell to retain his championship. Copp also took the Summer Series win to make it a double as did top intermediate Steve Bryant. Danny Orr was top novice despite trials returner Andrew Wright winning the five rounds he contested. Jason Colein took a perfect five wins from five starts in the summer series. John Hiscock narrowing pipped Jo Clark for the Beginners championship by three points. Andy Somerton was back to winning ways taking most wins for the season including the highly competitive Over 40's Novice class win. Youth Winners experts and youth intermediates both will be tested this year having moved up to the adult groups. Adam Kilbey completed a double championship and Summer Series in a very successful season whilst NJ Hyde was the club Youth 50/50 Beginner champion by just five marks from David James. Callum Lucas was youth beginner champion from newcomer James Goodall. On the E route. Sam Hosford pipped sister Jess for the club championship win whilst Ollie Adams won the summer series.
