RESEARCHERS DELVE INTO STATE OF WASTE ON LONG ISLAND West Babylon Junior High School students recently participated in a lesson in exploring waste management thanks to a special visit from Will Flower from Winter Brothers and Mary Cascone, Town of Babylon historian. Working in the library, students delved into researching the state of waste on Long Island. Mr. Flower, an industry leader in waste management and environmental protection, spoke to students about how they can make a difference. The Ann Marie Brown Memorial Scholarship honors the late Ann Marie Brown, who served as vice president for government and public relations for the Hospital Council from 1983 to 1993. The scholarship is administered by the Hospital Council’s Communications Committee.
