Arhaan’s interest, in objects that roll and move, is evident in his day to day exploration. Watching the sandflow downthe slide, he kept dropping more and observing it from different angles.
Whenthe flowstopped, he tapped the surfaceof the slide to help it move.
Wecould see hispassion for motion, ashe arranged the transport toys, in sequence, and pushed them to move as one.
Hegravitates towards toys that have wheels as seen in this picture where he filled atruck with sand, took it tothe spinner andgot immense joywatching itgo around, as heturned the spinner.
While indoors, he removed thepegs from the board, fixed them in arow and pushedit. He was engrossed watching it as it slid onthe carpet.
•We will encourage him to explore paint using the rollers of different size and textures.
•to help him develop his language skills, we can use the books on transport available in the environment to increase his vocabulary to express himself better.
Toencourage Arhaan to explorethe experience of paint (since heavoidstouching anything that iswet), using hisinnate passion for things that move, weset up the plotter roll paper, rollers and paintin trays inthe outdoors.
Arhaanwatched his peers with interest and finally pickedup a roller and tested it on the floor, on paperand onhis body.
Whileusing a dry roller on the paper, the roller automatically absorbed some of the paintfrom thepaper which Arhaan noticed andseemed comfortable with it.
Whileexploring the rolling movement Arhaan had finallytakenthe first steps to exploring paint andrealized the joy of doing so.
Whenhis friends stepped into the tub to cleantheir feet, heobserved them , and then slowly joined them using the roller to makewavesin the water.
Aftermakingwaveswith the roller Arhaan hesitantly touched the water with his fingers, slowly progressing tohis handsand finallysplashing the water.
Theexcitement is visibleas his facelit up with joy.
Andfinally, the waves, pushedall the water out of thetub
