How do we grow? True growth begins when we take a moment to look back, examining our actions, recognizing our successes and setbacks, and learning from them. Reflection is more than remembering, it's a purposeful act of learning and evolving. By revisiting our past with honesty and intention, we gain the insight needed to improve and move forward. It is through this ongoing process that we become better, wiser versions of ourselves. That is the power of reflection.

Message from the Founder
Neev is twenty years old; two decades of ‘reimagining excellence in education for a changing India’ by nurturing children ‘from diapers to DP’ is a lot of experience. However, as Gurudev Tagore said, we don’t learn from experience but by reflecting on it.
What have we learnt ?
1. Every child is unique when they come to us and our endeavor must be to keep them unique
2. Uniqueness is best upheld for impact by a shared community
3. Neev works best for a child when parents and us are on the same page
4. Social learning is the most powerful weapon in the battle for learning today, and that needs management
5. The world is constantly changing but some things must stay the same. Good schools, parents and educators know the difference.
Success for Neev children comes easier than it does for most children in India and on our planet because of their social, cultural and financial opening balances. But a digitally crazed social media world that rewards easy credentialing can easily take them away from seeking real impact and uniqueness. Over protective parenting takes away risk taking and resilience. Narrow self focus takes away real relationships. Constant comparisons and extrinsic motivation take away self-driven reflection. And schools that only target assessments miss the trees for the forest. But identifying the problem is the most important step and Neev aims to spend the next two decades reimagining excellence for a changing world.
Our graduation speaker for the class of 2025, Pullela Gopichand, left us with many messages for teachers and graduates, but some that apply to all our learners, young and old are—set goals. Work hard to meet them. Resist temptation. Skill seems hard but character is harder.
Pullela reminded the Neev community that the simple things are the most impactful and hard. Onward and upward!

Where will this focus on reflection take us in the coming year?
Neev completes 20 years in 2025! The journey has been sublime to say the least, the timeline of the start with 18 teachers and 35 students, in the house on 12 th main Indiranagar, to almost 1500 students across the programmes from EY to DP is something that makes us proud. It also reminds us of the responsibility that we are bestowed with the children in our care. The reflection of the journey of the last 20 years has enough and more evidence in moments, anecdotes, images/drawings and writing pieces that tell us that we have made an impact. Our vision of reimagining excellence in education has made us a unique learning space for Early Years where our focus is to strengthen the innate while building skills, dispositions, strong routines and habits that will allow the child to thrive in all environments.
As we walk along with the committed team and involved/ invested parent community, we reflect on what is important and relevant to us at Neev, with an international curriculum (IB candidate school) and our roots of strong Indian values. We critically review the space we are in and take responsibility for the impact we want to create self-directed learners, disciplinary thinkers and the young privileged Neevites, realising their influence on the community through their collaboration and strong communication capabilities.
The year book holds the memories that warm the heart… The future holds the promise that inspires it :-))

Welcome to Neev Early Years
Neev Early Years is a learning community that embraces the belief that children are capable, curious and competent individuals who learn holistically through hands-on experiences, explorations, and meaningful connections with their environment.
At Neev, we value and celebrate the unique interests and perspectives of each child, fostering a nurturing and collaborative learning environment. This empowers children to be disciplinary thinkers, communicators, collaborators, self-directed learners, and community builders with a far reaching impact of learning and
Reflection is a key component of learning as it plays a powerful role in providing direction and informing the way forward. Reflective practices allow us to closely review our interactions with children and families, our actions to better practices and our role in creating an enabled environment. It helps us evaluate and document the impact we hope to see. At Neev, reflection is a continuous process that will help build and sustain effective and responsive teaching practices.
As we pause to reflect on the year gone by, we are reminded that reflection is not just a moment of looking back, it is a powerful tool to move forward. At the heart of our approach lies a commitment to thoughtful introspection, allowing us to revisit our intentions and upscale teaching and learning practices. It is through this ongoing journey that we see real, visible impact in our classrooms, in our relationships and in our outcomes. The year ahead will be shaped by these insights, helping us walk with intention and clarity.

the coming year, this pulse will help us shift from routine to responsiveness and from assumptions to awareness. It will challenge us to notice what often goes unnoticed, and to question not just what we do, but how and why we do it. With reflection woven into our everyday practices, we move toward a culture of learning that is alive, adaptive and rooted in meaning, for ourselves, and most importantly, for all the children in our care.

Reflecting on the year that went by, it has helped us understand ourselves and others better, improve our practices, make more thoughtful decisions, and grow with purpose.
