Observation - Shaanwas learning the sound/c/,/k/ when hedecided to makeacaterpillarwith the play dough.Oncethewiggly caterpillarwasready, he broughttwococonutshells from thenaturecornerand putitinside one halfand covered itwith the other, saying thatthis was his home.The caterpillar stayed inside theshellcocoon till hebecamebiggerand then turned into abutterfly.Shaan stucksome pieces of coloured paper tomake thebeautiful butterfly.
Analysis - Shaan used his priorknowledge aboutthe metamorphosis ofa caterpillar intoa butterflyand applieditimaginatively tomake the playdough caterpillar.Usingthe shells to makeacocoon showedhis understandingof how putting two halvestogetherwould make ita closed shapeand hencelook likeacocoon.
