Другая, меньшая часть парка посвящена Великой Победе: здесь располагается музей боевой славы под открытым небом. На бетонных постаментах застыли самоходные орудия, пушки, танки, зенитные установки, военные автомобили и знаменитая «катюша». На приколе под берегом покачивается настоящая подводная лодка типа «М». Всего в музее 40 экспонатов. На памятной стеле увековечены имена Героев Советского Союза, удостоенных высшей воинской награды за участие в боях с гитлеровцами на Кубани. Мальчишки пытаются крутить руль грузовика, разбираются с тактикотехническими данными минометов, гаубичных орудий и знаменитого Т-34, разглядывают скат для «катюши», когда-то повергавшей в ужас врага. Этот музей уникален: на небольшом пятачке он разместил всю историю боевой техники Великой Отечественной. Сюда приходят на встречи ветераны. 9 Мая к обелиску Героям Советского Союза и мемориальному стенду стекаются потоки горожан.
Another, smaller part is devoted to the victory in the World War II where the open air museum is situated. Tanks, guns, antiaircraft guns armored vehicles and famous truck-mounted rocket launcher “Katyusha” are installed on the concrete pedestals. The real laidup submarine of M-type is situated on the bank. There are more then 40 exhibits in the museum. Heroes of the Soviet Union awarded the highest military orders for the battles with Hitlerites in the Kuban reagion are immortalized on the commemorative stele. Boys always try to turn steering wheel of the military truck, study performance characteristics of mortars, howitzers and famous tank T-34, scrutinize closely rocket launcher “Katyusha” that was terror for the enemies. This museum is unique: all the history of military equipment of World War II is collected on a small patch of land. Veterans gather here. On the 9th of May the obelisk devoted to Heroes of the Soviet Union and memorial stand are visited by Krasnodar citizens.
Парковый полуостров заканчивается удивительным мостом, который соединяет его с Кубанской набережной. Этот мост называется Поцелуевым и является относительно новой достопримечательностью города. В названии присутствует не только аллюзия на СанктПетербургский Поцелуев мост, воспетый Леонидом Утесовым. Дело в том, что это место изначально облюбовали городские женихи и невесты, приезжающие сфотографироваться и по недавно возникшей традиции защелкнуть на перилах висячий замок со своими именами. Ключ полагается выбросить в Кубань, после чего — можно целоваться! Откуда взялась эта традиция и почему за короткое время стала «давней», никому не известно. Возможно, так решил сам дух моста, который из-за обилия свадебных замков приобрел мистические черты. Говорят, что местные архитекторы выказывают беспокойство, поскольку замки во много раз утяжелили вес сооружения. Но против любви все доводы разума бессильны.
Park peninsula ends with an amazing bridge that connects the park and quay of the Kuban River. This is the “Bridge of Kisses”, the new attraction of the city. It is not only allusion to the Bridge of Kisses in Saint Petersburg poetized by the jazz singer Leonid Utesov. This place was chosen by the city brides and grooms who come here to make photos and put a padlock with their names engraved on a railing of the bridge, the custom which has been developed recently. The key should be thrown into the Kuban River and after that they are allowed to kiss each other! Where did this custom come from and why within a short period of time it became an “old” custom, nobody knows. Perhaps, the spirit of the Bridge itself decided this way and abundance of padlocks make it look mystically. People say that the city architects are worried about the situation as all these padlocks increased the weight of the Bridge. But reason could never resist love.
