Wet Weather Watch. As we now know the weather sometimes gets a little wet at this time of year. If we need to cancel games it will be on the website on Saturday morning by 8am. Notification will also be advised over the radio stations SSSFM (103.9), FM104.7, FM 106.3, 2CA and 2CC. Please ensure your child’s coach has the most up to date contact details for you.

Player Profile: Zane Maclean. Zane has scored 7 goals this season and has set up many more. He is one of our most consistent performers and a great team player. Zane has been with the club since peewees. What Belwest team do you play for? U/13 Div 2 Blue – we call ourselves the “Red Bulls” What is your favourite position? Centre forward Who is your favourite football (soccer) team? Japan – the Blue Samurai (my mum is Japanese) but I also like Sheffield United because my dad supports them. Who is your favourite Australian football team? Perth Glory Who is you favourite footballer? Keisuke Honda of Japan Who is your favourite Australian footballer? Tim Cahill – my coach says we have a similar style but I’m still learning to head the ball like him What other sports do you enjoy? Futsal and cricket What is the best thing about football (soccer)? Playing with my mates – three of us have been together since the peewees. I also like scoring goals and when the opposition says ‘mark number 15’ (my number) because it means they think I’m good! Cold Rock Belconnen, located on the outside of Belconnen Mall (Lathlain Street) has been established since July 2011 and is run by the very friendly father and son, Steve and Mick. Mick was a Belwest junior a number of years ago, so it is great to see him coming back and supporting our club.
Cold Rock for those that have not yet tasted their treats offer over From the Grill 40 flavours of ice creams with your favourite confectionary or fruits mixed in. They also offer shakes, sundaes, coffee, waffles and most notably ice cream cakes!
