How many Coaches does your team have? Parents please DON’T tell the players where to run, when to pass, where to stand (positions) or what to do – that’s the Coach’s job. Your advice puts pressure on your child and all the other children. Please DO support our teams, encourage everyone and be positive. Does it matter if our children make a mistake in football? Please DON’T yell out things like ‘Big Kick’, ‘Just kick it’, ‘pass it’, ‘boot it’ or variations on that theme – it doesn’t help our players in anyway. And if you’d like to Coach, we’d love to have you next year. (Adapted from FFA handbook)
