CAMPAIGN UPDATE Our Students Are Our Strongest Advocates
It’s YOUR Time to Inspire! As Chairs for Notre Dame’s OUR TIME to INSPIRE Campaign, we are excited to announce that the Center for STEM Education, a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, will be ready for students and faculty in 2019. This new environment will enhance our students’ innovative and collaborative experience in the sciences, mathematics, engineering and technology. We are deeply grateful to those families and individuals who have been instrumental in this bold campaign. We now need your help to cross the finish line! To date, $11.5 million has been raised towards the $15 million for the STEM Center’s construction, leaving a balance of $3.5 million which is needed to reach our goal. If you have not yet made a commitment, we are asking for your support to reach this $15 million benchmark by December 31, 2018. The time is now! Be a part of history, and join the generations of families that have contributed to our tradition of excellence in education for the young women of Notre Dame. On behalf of our current students and all future graduates, your generous support will not only positively impact their lives, but it will reach beyond the gates of Notre Dame and impact the global community in which we live. Sincerely, Sister Helen J. Bellew, SND Barb Phelan ’90 and Brian Riley P’19’21’23 Pat and Helen Burns P’08’10’16 Matt and Judi Taylor P’12 Agnes Gillin ’83 and Don Gayhardt P’17 Andrew and Karen Willis P’08’13’18
“I think that the new STEM Center is going to be an amazing opportunity to get more students like me involved in science and engineering clubs, classes, and activities. I am super excited to start classes in the new building in 2019.” - Gillian Spragg ’23 “Notre Dame has provided me with access to advanced STEM-related courses and extracurricular activities that aren’t always available at other educational institutions. The classes are engaging and academically challenging enough to cover, in large breadth and depth, vital concepts that are necessary for us to develop into knowledgeable leaders in society.” ~ Anna Miranda ’19 “In my STEM classes at Notre Dame, I wasn’t told facts or answers, but rather I was taught how to solve problems. I’ve done a lot of research since high school, and I truly believe that my ability to ask interesting questions and search for meaningful solutions began in my classes at ND.” ~ Anne Marie Crinnion ’16
