THE WORKS
YOTEL Boston needed to change the existing restaurant to the new VELA branding which the concept and appearance helped work on. We wanted to use the huge natural lighting that bleeds through the interior and give the VELA Cosmic / Sea Mythology theme whilst keeping it clean and visually luxury. produced a full FF&E selection which included dressing items and full shelving accessories. Floor plans, visuals and moodboards helped us to create the feel and form of this VELA. Other works included Joinery designed self check-in and reception desk. New Banquette on the 4th floor including bespoke joinery piece for displaying merchandise.
Vela showcases welcoming & memorable spaces with attention to every detail. Our interior’s primary function is to support Vela’s outstanding service & enhance the enjoyment of our food & drink.
Memorable interior design starts with a concept which grounds the entire guest journey through any space. Our story is vast taking us through the Milky Way. Finding ships within the stardust. To Greek mythology & woven baskets. .We hold endless conceptual threads giving each of our properties the opportunity to be unique & fitting to their local market whilst remaining identifiable as the Vela story.

BRIEF
YOTEL Amsterdam was behind the current brand standard of YOTEL and needed its public and dining spaces to be uplifted and revitalised. The property was missing key focal points to really draw guest in, the large open space and fluidity of the lounge and restaurant wasn’t working. Old FF&E items were failing, the property requested a full design change.
THE WORKS
worked on key aspects of this uplift, designing and drafting the joinery elements of a new bar top with planting, new banquette seating and hanging joinery mirrors to walls and the ceiling. These items were presented via floor plans, joinery details and elevations.
Visuals were created using Photoshop to add the new designs to existing photos. the FF&E selection was designed to incorporate the soft pastels and colours of the external deck to connect the two spaces together and give a curvaceous flow to the space.

YOTEL GENEVA
THE HOTEL
was part of the interior design team at YOTEL Geneva, a landmark project for YOTEL as it marked their first property in Switzerland and served as a flagship for the company. This project was not only one of the largest undertaken by YOTEL but also a comprehensive design and build endeavour, emphasising innovation and modernity.
In my role as one of the Interior Designers, I was deeply involved in the creative and technical aspects of the project. My responsibilities included developing key visuals, detailed drawings, and innovative designs for several crucial areas of the hotel, including the lounge, check-in, reception, and breakfast area.
Selecting key FF&E items to meet the YOTELS brand standards and looks was done, worked closely with the project design manager to ensure work was done on budget and keeping to the projects programme.
We began with extensive meetings to understand YOTEL brand standards, and the functional needs of the new property. This stage was crucial for setting the foundation of the design, ensuring it would align with both the YOTEL expectations and the hotel’s operational requirements.
During this phase, we developed the overall design concept, focusing on innovation and modernity. This included creating mood boards, colour schemes, and initial 3D Renders to convey the intended atmosphere and style. We aimed to blend YOTEL’s futuristic brand ethos with elements that would resonate with the Swiss context.

YOTEL LONDON CITY - 2025 INSTALL
BRIEF
The existing ground floor of YOTEL London City, presents a disconnected guest experience. The space needs softening against the architectural materials such as stone and tile. While it functions adequately during breakfast, it struggles to retain guests throughout the day.
The interior task involves striking a balance between aesthetics and functionality, softening the architectural rigidity of the space with thoughtful additions of lighting, art, and furniture variety. Our goal is to create a seamless journey throughout our public areas, drawing inspiration from our locality and heritage while staying true to the YOTEL non-stop brand.

A selecting of FF&E items, full spatial design, decoration, artwork and accessories to be done for this project. My role was helping with the design of the new space including the design of new bespoke high booths and other joinery items, creating key visuals and selection of FF&E.

BRIEF
This YOTELPAD has been designed with inspiration from the surrounding area of Stratford. It incorporates key elements from its history, current aesthetics, the Olympics, the railway, and the Industrial Revolution. Mission Control is a crucial part of the guest experience because it is the first interaction guests have with the property. Therefore, the space has been designed to feel welcoming, calm, exciting, and relaxed.
THE WORKS
This project was outsourced to an Interior design firm who worked on the space, however, some added work was needed which included revisiting the visuals and creating 3D Models. I created and reproduced a 3D model based on the drawings sent and their concept visuals as a basis, from that we adapted the space to fit the YOTEL brand. This also included light dressing and new planting options which are to be installed in 2025. This was also done with the bedroom type as we needed the visual to represent the brand standard room design to the finest detail before going ahead.
CONCEPT
Key concepts for the interiors for Mission Control and the entrance area are inspired by the natural beginnings of Stratford, characterised by its agricultural greenery and countryside escape. These concepts are reflected in the space through organic forms and softness, conveyed by the use of plants and natural materials that contrast with the tones from strong industrial influences. This creates a warm and calming environment that provides a sense of escape and a feeling of coming home. Raw and urban materials have also been incorporated to connect the space with Stratford’s industrial revolution background.

BRIEF
YOTEL MiamiI following the success of Vela Miami and Vela Sky, we see an opportunity to expand our ground floor offering outside and introduce Vela Gardens, an F&B destination in it’s own right.
THE WORKS
Following site analysis of the external space alongside our existing kitchen, bar and wash room capacities, we foresee a variation on two options available.
Option 1: Small Vela Terrace
Expand our restaurant and bar offer out onto half of the first bay under the metro mover creating a private Vela terrace which can comfortably accommodate 70 covers.
Option 2: Vela Terrace, City Landscaping and Pop-Up Events
Expand on option 1, connecting the Vela terrace with the public path. 72 covers. Connect this to the remaining 2 bays which require fully landscaping by the City to create a public space maintained by the City. Vela (and YOTEL), can partner with the City to create pop up events.
worked fully on this project as the interior designer, selecting FF&E, creating layouts, artwork, visuals and spatial planning. All the work was shared and discussed with the director which we both worked on the few changes from properties comments and this was then presented and approved to be done next year.

YOTEL SINGAPORE CHANGI AIRPORT - 2025 INSTALL

BRIEF
YOTEL Singapore, is an airport hotel where members of the public can rent rooms for periods of time when staying.
This hotel is situated in Changi airport and was one of the first properties for the company. The space needed a full refurbishment as the current spaces had failed and weren’t showcasing the YOTEL new brand and reflecting the stunning Changi airport surrounding it.
THE WORKS
The Mission Control (reception) and communal public seating spaces had to be uplifted, this included a fully new design concept for the space whilst keeping most of the structural and some joinery items. Light FF&E changes, finishes uplift and key design changes to improve the public’s engagement and experience at the hotel.
My role on this project was to create and build the YOTEL Changi airport space using limited data ie picture, basic plans and on-site dimensions. From these I created the 3D Model and included the new concept and design choice for the communal spaces ensuring it kept in line with the brand and the budget. A new joinery piece was designed and installed prior to the uplift which I designed and created the technical drawings for the joinery contractor to review, where coffee and food could be served including key storage spaces. This project is set to be installed in 2025.
