ABOUT TOM BREZSNY

Tom has been a licensed Realtor in Santa Cruz for more than 30 years and a recognized thought-leader in the local real estate industry. In addition to being a top-producing agent and the recipient of numerous sales awards and accolades over three decades, he has also authored (since 1996) a well-known weekly newspaper column called “Real Estate of Mind,” geared to educating local residents about the real estate process and changing market trends.

Prior to becoming a Realtor, Tom was a successful restaurateur, marketing consultant, and business advocate. As a 43 year resident of Santa Cruz, he has also served on the boards of numerous charitable organizations at the same time he has actively contributed to a long list of philanthropic efforts, arts organizations, local schools, youth sports, and non-profit ventures. The Santa Cruz Association of Realtors honored him with their Annual Community Service Award in 2005, in recognition of his efforts to provide permanent housing for homeless families and children.

Together with his wife Terry, he is the team leader of Brezsny Associates, Realtors with an exponential set of skills and more than 60 years of combined experience that has yielded more than 1,500 local real estate transactions. They specialize in locally-inspired lifestyles oriented to the unique character of Santa Cruz and the nuanced micro-climates and microcultures of the Central Coast. Tom offers client-centric services designed to help clients navigate the larger life changes that underscore every house sale or purchase.

Tom serves as Coastal Vice President and Regional Sales Manager for Sereno, the largest independent brokerage in Northern California. He is responsible for three local offices in addition to overseeing and mentoring 60 agents throughout Santa Cruz County.

ABOUT TERRY BALLANTYNE-BREZSNY

Terry Ballantyne-Brezsny has been a licensed Broker for over 22 years. Prior to becoming a real estate agent, she was in the insurance industry and then founded two successful entrepreneurial start-ups in the creative arts.

She is a former meditation teacher certified by the Chopra Center. As a local real estate broker, she previously served as Lead Mentor and New Agent Trainer for Bailey Properties and as Sales Manager and Head Recruiter for David Lyng Associates. Terry is a founding member of the Sereno Group’s Coastal Office and was instrumental in bringing Sereno’s 1% for Good Charitable Giving effort to life! It has been recognized as one of the top philanthropy programs in Santa Cruz and Silicon Valley. ABOUT DANIEL WOLFORD

In a distracted world, everyone needs a backstop to keep things moving along seamlessly. Some people just have innate gifts that come naturally to them. They don’t break a sweat! That’s Daniel.

Daniel has an uncanny eye for details, whether in his photography, copy-editing, or drafting contracts. Even the humble email is elevated under his watchful eye. Besides his Spock-like efficiency, Daniel possesses a sunny, warm demeanor that instantly puts one at ease.

Daniel supports and helps build context around the complex and dynamic real estate market in Santa Cruz. He simplifies the process and makes one feel comfortable and involved every step of the way—whether it is buying or selling a home.

Scarlett Wolford grew up in Santa Cruz and has a deep love for the community and the special sense of place it fosters. Before joining Sereno Group and the Brezsny team, Scarlett served as VP and Business Development Officer for TMC Financing where she helped small businesses secure commercial real estate financing. Prior to TMC, Scarlett spent a number of years working in the title and escrow industry in a variety of roles. She has worked in the real estate and finance industries her entire career.

Scarlett graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is proficient in Spanish. Scarlett and her husband Daniel, along with their daughter Stella, love living in Santa Cruz! There’s no place quite like it.

ABOUT DAX NOLLENBERGER

Born and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. Dax Nollenberger has deep-rooted ties to the community he calls home. Growing up, he was highly active in all things Santa Cruz from Junior Lifeguards, to Little League, to exploring the famous Santa Cruz surf spots and the beautiful redwood forest. Santa Cruz is a special place, his ability to give back to the community he loves with the 1% For Good campaign was a driving force behind his decision to join Sereno.

Dax earned a business management degree at the University of Arizona allowing him to gain valuable insight into the processes that make for successful management of your biggest life purchase.

Post-graduation, Dax pursued a career in the NFL as an equipment manager but quickly rose the ranks to the scouting department where he helped implement and execute a hybrid scouting approach of analytics and traditional scouting that ultimately helped resurrect a franchise that had incurred 20 straight disappointing seasons. Dax’s passion for real estate was curated during his time working with the Cleveland Browns scouting department. In his spare time, he dove deep into real estate investment opportunities in the greater Cleveland area before ultimately deciding to return home and pursue his passion for real estate full time.

Dax is a valued member of Brezsny Associates. In 2021, Brezsny Associates helped facilitate and close over 50 transactions totaling $80MM. ABOUT NATASHA MINGAY

Natasha has over 15 years experience in the Real Estate industry. The last 9 years, focusing exclusively in Residential Real Estate in her hometown of Santa Cruz. After an early career in fast paced Commercial Real Estate in Santa Barbara and San Francisco, Natasha obtained an art degree emphasizing design. Her special focus is what she truly loves; Santa Cruz County. This real estate market is a collection of individual, unique and endearing communities, each with their own ambiance and housing opportunities.

Real Estate is in Natasha’s blood, ss a 2nd genaration Realtor, her very first year licensed, Natasha earned Rookie of the year! Since then, Natasha has received various accolades and designations. ABOUT MARIKA STRAUSS

It is said that home is where the heart is…but Marika Strauss, who recently joined Sereno-Santa Cruz knows very well the importance of living in a house that meets the needs of its occupants so that love, companionship, and family can prosper within it. The pandemic has heightened our sensibilities, that homes must be both refuges and sanctuaries as well as places to work, play, eat, and sleep.

Marika’s lived experience as a four-time homeowner (shared with her husband and toddler) while residing and working throughout the world has afforded her a unique talent for finding the right living space for clients. Marika begins the process with a trusting relationship built on learning and listening to dreams and needs as well as concerns and fears. Home for Marika has many dimensions. For her, it’s growing up in Seattle, trading skis and hiking boots for a surfboard, and sharing hospitality and love of cooking with family and friends from near and afar. For almost two decades, Marika worked in the non-profit world empowering young people with essential skills and a passion for making a more just and peaceful world.

A few years ago Santa Cruz became both the home and heart center for her and her husband (a nurse in a local hospital) and the place where she hopes to continue building community and nurturing relationships. She chose Sereno because her values are aligned with the Company’s commitment to the 1% For Good Charity program. • Purchase new attractive bedding

• Power wash and apply deck preserving stain to all decks and railings

• Freshen up flower planter boxes or pots with colorful plants

• Keep only the items that are appealing with reasonable quality and scaled for the space
