eaks of Health Medical Center is collecting donations for school supplies from July 1 to July 18 at their location in Largo. Items needed include paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, backpacks, crayons, colored pencils, calculators and other essential school supplies. Donations can be dropped off in the lobby, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. All supplies will be given out on a first come-first serve basis, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on July 23, in the Peaks of Health parking lot. Physicians will also be on hand to perform school physicals for kids under 18 years of age, gratis. Peaks’ Dr. Tracie Leonhardt, who grew up in the Tampa Bay community, became active in the early 90s as a board certified ER physician. Experiencing her own health challenges led her to begin practicing Integrative Medicine, a more holistic approach to achieve optimal healing. She is an expert in the area of hormones, including thyroid, and in the treatment of diabetes as well as stubborn fungus, mold, Lyme and autoimmune diseases. She presented on Lyme disease and alternative treatments to a congress in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, and European physicians were excited to learn of her successes. Location: 1120 Belcher Rd.
