Editor’s Notes Greetings & Salutations! Well, we made it out of 2020 and like most of you we are searching for that light at the end of the tunnel. Not to dwell, but last year was one of the most unprecedented times of turmoil and loss for the world in most of our lifetimes and has created a new norm for many of how the world will move forward, especially for those in the music industry. It has been a trial by fire type of learning experience trying to navigate what to do during the wake of COVID-19 and keeping the music alive. We, like so many, were unsure how we would recover and have been starving for the return of live music and are hoping with the vaccines and new safety precautions that we will be able to see our favorite artists, in-person, sooner rather than later. In the meantime, to kick off 2021, the Country Radio Broadcasters have continued with their annual seminar with the first-ever live stream summit, CRS 2021: The Virtual Experience. While we are already missing the anticipation leading up to the whirlwind of week that is usually CRS, we are looking forward to what this year’s virtual experience will bring. This year boasts quite a line-up of sessions and musical performance that we are sure will not disappoint and which you can read more about in this issue, including our cover feature of CRS’s New Faces of Country Music. Speaking of new faces, we are also excited to have coverage in this issue of CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021 and our own hot list of 21 Artists to Watch in 2021. We are very excited about these new comers and are really loving the diverse blend of musical talent that we chose this year and think you will too. As always, you will also fine our very own Preshias Harris’ Inside Track on Music Row column which includes all the latest bizbuzz and news from Music Row and Beyond which is curated monthly by “Mama Preshias.” Her column is the longest running Country Music News column ... ever! In fact, she is currently in the process of registering it with Guinness World Records. We are so very honored that we have been able to share her column in Nashville Music Guide since 1995 and can’t wait for her to get the recognition she so deserves for all that she has done and continues to do for the Country music industry. Way to go Preshias! We want to thank you all for your continued support of Nashville Music Guide and we are looking forward to all that 2021 will bring us in hopes that this year is better than the last. Best, Randy Rich & Amanda Andrews NashvilleMusicGuide.com

Last month, CMT revealed the 10 country artists to watch in its much-anticipated 2021 Next Women of Country campaign, which recognizes and supports country music’s most promising and powerful female artists. The 10 artists joining this year’s prestigious Next Women of Country roster are: Ashland Craft, Priscilla Block, Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, Hannah Dasher, MacKenzie Porter, Harper Grae, Tenille Arts, Sacha, and Chapel Hart. What started in 2013 as a way to shine a spotlight on country music’s next generation, CMT’s Next Women of Country campaign has grown to become an annual event. The initiative began at a time when the genre was starting to become dominated by male artists in an effort to support and expose female talent, both signed and unsigned. The year-long campaign raises awareness for new female artists with support for their music and videos across CMT and CMT Music channels, CMT Hot 20 Countdown, CMT.com along with CMT’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter pages. Some of the most notable alumnae of CMT’s past classes of NWOC include Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Lauren Alaina, RaeLynn, Lindsay Ell, Caylee Hammack, Gabby Barrett, and Hailey Whitters.

Ashland Craft Emerging as one of the most exciting new voices in the genre, Big Loud Records’ spitfire Ashland Craft from South Carolina is introducing her own brand of no B.S. country music. Her new love-drunk single “Two Wildflowers and a Box of Wine” follows her soul-infused debut release, “Trainwreck” to critical acclaim. After making a splash with a Top 10 stint on season 13 of NBC’s The Voice, Craft was selected to open on tour for such major artists as Luke Combs, and more. Craft also has plans to perform alongside Combs, Alan Jackson and Jason Aldean this summer at the 40th Anniversary Country Concert on July 8-10 in Fort Laramie, Ohio.

Priscilla Block Country artist Priscilla Block is known for her unfiltered, relatable songwriting and undeniable melodies. With an honest and up-front approach, Block promotes self-love, empowerment and acceptance through her own blend of country pop and southern rock, dubbed the ‘Block Party’ sound. Originally from Raleigh, N.C., Block moved to Nashville to pursue music shortly after graduating high school. During quarantine, she began experimenting with new songs on TikTok, which led to her independently raising funds to professionally record her now hit song, “Just About Over You.” The single raced to the top of both the iTunes Country and All Genre Song charts in just 12 hours, and is now climbing country radio’s Top 40.

Brittney Spencer

Hannah Dasher

Brittney Spencer is a free-spirited, singer-songwriter with a love for molding life, truth and wild imagination into songs. Her passion for storytelling drove the Baltimore native to Nashville in 2013 with dreams of singing and writing country music. She’s since toured and performed as a background singer for such artists as Carrie Underwood and Christopher Cross, all while establishing herself as a songwriter in Music City. In late 2020, Spencer began her ascent to stardom with the release of her debut EP Compassion, which garnered rave reviews from the likes of Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, Billboard and American Songwriter. Morris sang Spencer’s praises as an ‘artist to watch’ during her recent CMA Female Vocalist of the Year acceptance speech. Spencer will continue to promote her latest EP and has been invited to make appearances with both Morris and Shires.

Whether she’s whipping up a recipe for her viral Stand By Your Pan series on TikTok or penning her next hit with top songwriters, Georgia native Hannah Dasher is boldly chasing her dreams. After graduating from the University of Georgia, Dasher moved to a small attic apartment off Music Row where she worked five days a week at Bass Pro Shop to make ends meet. Dasher was ultimately fired for writing songs during work hours. But when one door closed, another one opened and she landed her first publishing deal. And as fate would have it, her first cut — Brad Paisley’s “Go To Bed Early” — began as an idea she’d been working on during her last days at Bass Pro Shop. She continued to attend writer’s nights and local showcases such as Whiskey Jam where she got the nickname “Hannah Damn Dasher.” She has since opened up for Hank Williams Jr., The Cadillac Three and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Dasher is signed to Sony Nashville.

Reyna Roberts Reyna Roberts is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter by way of Alaska, Alabama and California. She began performing at a young age and was exposed to a wide variety of music — classic rock, R&B, pop, country, gospel and more — which laid the groundwork for her vibrant musical style. Her cover of Carrie Underwood’s “Drinking Alone” caught the attention of Mickey Guyton and Underwood herself; while her first single, “Stompin’ Grounds” debuted to critical acclaim and appeared on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. As well as being an accomplished singer, athlete, songwriter and pianist, Roberts is an active volunteer within the community and is committed to supporting military service members and veterans through her work.

Harper Grae Rolling Stone Country has called Harper Grae “a platinumvoiced country-pop singer with a flair for turning her harrowing past into high art.” Hailing from Montgomery, AL, Grae’s difficult childhood has fueled her ascent to artistic prominence. After graduating from Auburn University and appearing on Glee Project, Grae decided she wanted to pursue country music as a career. Her first album Break Your Crowns came out in 2017, and since, she’s released several singles. Grae was named as one of “Five LGBTQ and Americana Artists You Need to Know” by CMT and received a 2020 GLAAD Rising Country Star. Grae’s song “Muddy Water” was released last year and the video peaked at #3 on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown.

MacKenzie Porter Singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter is a rising talent signed to Big Loud Records. Porter is surging now with her recently released EP Drinkin’ Songs: The Collection, an arsenal of two years’ worth of new music produced by sought-after Nashville producer Joey Moi. Since moving to Nashville in 2014 from her native Canada, Porter has developed a radiant country style which threads the needle between traditional heart and modern energy, often collaborating with songwriting mainstays such as Nicolle Galyon, Craig Wiseman, Natalie Hemby and Tommy English. Porter has found momentum in the U.S., sharing the stage with Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton and Dallas Smith. She’s appeared in numerous film and television productions, including co-starring in the Netflix series Travelers.

Sacha Born and raised in Ontario, Sacha was exposed to country music and country living from a young age. As a black female country artist, Sacha is a pioneer, fearlessly working toward equal representation for young women of all creeds and color to be deservedly embraced and included in the country music landscape. She’s already caught the attention of “Color Me Country”’s Rissi Palmer who recently predicted that Sacha was headed for super stardom. Her latest EP The Best Thing is an exciting, undeniable reckoning of searing, electric vocals that steadfastly honors its first-rate, enduring songs. In addition to her musical career, Sacha believes strongly in giving back to her community and is a committed philanthropist supporting several non profits in her hometown. NashvilleMusicGuide.com

Tenille Arts Born and raised in the small prairie town of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Tenille Arts picked up the guitar and penned her first song at age 13 and has been performing ever since. She made her first appearance on ABC’s The Bachelor in 2018, which resulted in a record deal with indie label Reviver Records. She made her second appearance on the show in 2019 performing her single, “I Hate This.” The song hit #1 on the U.S. and Canadian iTunes Country Charts and #9 U.S. iTunes all-genre. Her third appearance on The Bachelor preceded the release of her new album Love, Heartbreak, & Everything In Between early this year. Arts’ music has tallied over 51 million streams. Arts made her Grand Ole Opry debut on September 21, 2019 and has made appearances on the TODAY and the Radio Disney Music Awards; and she sang the Canadian National Anthem at Game 3 of the 2019 NBA

Finals and at the 2020 NBA All-Star Game.

Chapel Hart

Chapel Hart is a trio of cousins from Hart’s Chapel, Mississippi, consisting of Grammy-nominated Danica Hart, Trea Swindle and sister Devynn Hart. The group cut their teeth on the New Orleans music scene, and soon discovered that their hearts belonged to country music. In 2019, the trio headlined the Innsbruck New Orleans Festival, and although it was their first time playing outside of their fan base, they were greeted by a crowd of fans lined up around the building. That enthusiasm is evidenced in their current single “Jesus and Alcohol,” which will appear on their upcoming second album. New music is expected this year and will feature collaborations with such songwriters as Jim McCormick, Tony Haselden and Derek Norsworthy.

Jason Charles Miller From the Wreckage - Part One Day” along with Eban Schletter (film composer) playing the theremin. “I have so many friends who happen to also be great musicians, and I love collaborating with them,” said Miller. “I live in Los Angeles, so when friends from Nashville travel through on tour, I try and grab ‘em while I can and hit the record button - not to mention all the amazing musicians who live in Los Angeles. My long-time collaborator and friend Stewart Cararas was paramount in helping me complete both this album, and Part Two, another seven tracks that we are planning to release in summer 2021. And of course, I need to mention the great Matt Hyde - he produced my last full-length album, and we continue to work together when our schedules permit.” An accomplished performer with more than two decades of professional experience as a singer, songwriter, producer and voice actor, Jason Charles Miller has quietly established himself in the Country and Southern Rock genres. Jason Charles Miller is set to release a new album, From the Wreckage – Part One.. The first single from the album, “Better Late Than Never,” is available now via all streaming platforms. Straddling the line between rock and country, the new single and forthcoming album will be released through Miller’s own Haunted Mill Music record label, and puts his gritty, passionfilled style on full display. “I threw out “Better Late Than Never” as a title to start with and he jumped on it right away. We actually wrote the song in ‘open G’ tuning, which always intimidates me, but I soldiered through it. The original writer’s demo is starkly different than the final recorded version, but the bones are unmistakably there. It’s basically a song about getting ghosted, and just wanting to know why. We all have that friendship or relationship that ends for no known reason. This song is all about wanting to know why. You know it’s over, and you’ve accepted that, you just want to know why. To close the book, to learn something about yourself or for your own personal growth. Was it your fault? Was it them? Not knowing why is the worst feeling!” ~ Jason Charles Miller Produced by Jason Charles Miller, Stewart Cararas and Matt Hyde, From the Wreckage – Part One is Miller’s fifth fulllength and sixth studio release. The album features several collaborations, including Adam Shoenfeld (Tim McGraw) playing lead guitar and “Cowboy” Eddie Long (Jamey Johnson) playing pedal steel on “Better Late Than Never,” Duane Betts of the Allman Betts Band on “Expiration Day,” and Katie Cole from Smashing Pumpkins on “Day After NashvilleMusicGuide.com

In 2019, Miller was lead vocalist on the Billboard chart-topping theme song for the ‘Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers’ video game. He has also contributed two songs to the critically acclaimed ‘Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’ sound track and sang backup for Robert Smith of The Cure on the Reeves Gabrels/Robert Smith track “Yesterday’s Gone.” “I think someone today that only writes songs is getting rare,” said Miller, “You’ve got to be a hybrid in today’s musical world. Music executives today want to fit you in to whatever their needs are, as opposed to promoting your natural talent. Americana pays tribute to original country music and infuses lots of rock. It’s basically what country isn’t. I’m just trying to be authentically me.” As a voice actor, Miller has hundreds of animated and video game credits, and has even narrated a film for NASA. As the front man and founder of the rock band Godhead, he was the only artist ever signed to Marilyn Manson’s Posthuman Records and sold more than 250,000 albums touring the world with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Rammstein, Disturbed, Linkin Park, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson and Korn front man Jonathan Davis. In 2004, Miller penned the all-star collaboration “Forever in Our Hearts,” a song to benefit the victims of the 2004 tsunami in South Asia, which included Brian McKnight, Mya, Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), Nate Dogg, and many more. Originally from Clifton, VA, Miller now lives in Los Angeles, CA, where he owns and runs the successful recording complex Central Command Studios. Brendyn Kyle’s Take on “Texas Weather”

Hailing from Sweetwater, Texas, singer-songwriter Brendyn Kyle has consistently produced songs everyone can relate to and songs that invoke emotion and memories. His latest release, “Texas Weather” is a song that truly encompasses just that and what Country music is about.

“I actually didn’t write “Texas Weather,” said Kyle. “A good friend of mine named Josh Lovett wrote this tune and it grabbed me the first time I heard it. My manager Clay Dustin, my Fiancé, and I knew this song was a hit and we decided to record it and release it to the radio. Everyone can relate to “Texas Weather”, at some point everyone has had a woman in there life that changed her mind as much as the Texas Weather.” Being born into a family of musicians almost guaranteed his love for music from the start. with the performances ranging from the “Outlaw Country” of Merle Haggard in honky-tonks to Christian hymns in the church; no doubt inspired Brendyn and the songs he writes today. As a little boy, he would sing for the family every chance he had using a broomstick for a guitar. It wasn’t until a Summer stay with his grandparents that Brendyn first started to learn chords on his grandfather’s Fender- those first few chords soon became a hobby that would grow into a real passion and career. When ”Red Dirt” first emerged with Cross Canadian Ragweed and artists like Randy Rogers and Aaron Watson, Brendyn completely connected and was hooked, making those artists some of his biggest musical influences along with all greats of ”90’s Country.” Brendyn Kyle’s intense love of performing has taken him from his fantastic shows with a broomstick guitar and a hairbrush for a microphone to the real-life big stage backed by a full band and audiences full of loyal Brendyn Kyle fans. “I put myself in each song that I record rather it be one I wrote or one I didn’t,” said Kyle. “The songs that I write are based on experiences I’ve had in my life and I write them in a way that my fans can relate in some sort of way.” Kyle is currently signed with SM1 Music Group. Xavier Joseph Brings Opera to Country Texas newcomer, Xavier Joseph, recently released his latest single, “Worst Best Way” this month. Taking from all his country music influences the new single intends not only to introduce his new, refreshed sound but also to demonstrate his past opera experience.

Like I said, it is in Nashville. But it’s a mix of Nashville, Texas and me. It’s a really beautiful sound that I cannot wait to share with everybody.”

Using the skills he learned from his time at the Austin Lyric Opera he created a unique sound blending his strong tenor voice with a combination of traditional and modern country.

From 2019 to present Xavier’s radio singles have all made their way onto the Texas Regional Radio charts with, his single ”Tomorrow’s Another Night” reaching #69, as well as being added to the Texas Music Pickers Top Texas Country and Red Dirt Singles Spotify play list. After spending the early part of 2020 touring and the later part recording all new music in Nashville, Xavier is ready to show country music what he’s really made of.

This single is also a lead up to his debut album titled, Built With Love, due to release in early fall. “I’m proud of the singles that we’ve put out, and I can’t wait for the stuff I actually write to come out and let everybody see what my sound is when I have my hands in it,” said Joseph. “This new album is a little bit of a newer sound.

From a young age he grew up being very well rounded in the arts studying dance, singing, acting, and martial arts to name a few. As a teenager, Xavier traveled all over the country competing in various entertainment competitions, coming in as national champion 4x for his dance routines. At 15, he joined a country western swing dance group known as the “Elite Wranglers”. Being on this team he was introduced to the world of country music. His obsession with the genre quickly grew! The Country Radio Seminar has unveiled the five artists who will be part of its New Faces of Country Music lineup in 2021: Ashley McBryde, Travis Denning, Matt Stell, Tenille Arts and Hardy will participate in a virtual showcase that will close out the final day of CRS 2021. CRS’ New Faces program, which began in 1970, has become a rite of passage for virtually every artist who goes on to become a superstar. Each year, the seminar brings together radio programmers, labels, artists, journalists and more members of the country music industry, offering a chance for artists to preview the music they’ve got planned for the year to come. McBryde scored her first Top 10 hit at U.S. country radio in 2020 with “One Night Standards,” the leading single off her sophomore major-label album, Never Will. The song also topped country charts in Canada. With touring still on hold, ACM and CMA Award winner Ashley McBryde gives fans a taste of what her GRAMMY-nominated album sounds like live with her upcoming six-song EP Never Will: Live From A Distance available to pre-save now and arriving Friday, May 28. EP opener “First Thing I Reach For – Live,” which Rolling Stone boasts, “conjures the Telecaster wisdom of Merle Haggard,” is available everywhere now. Fans can join McBryde’s fan club, The Trybe, to be the first to hear the new songs and get exclusive opportunities. Denning, meanwhile, notched his first No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart with “After a Few,” a song that also made history at the time as the chart’s longest climb to the top. At 65 weeks, it also broke a record as the single spending the longest time period on the chart. Accelerating his ascend from a chart-topping single, the song is taken from his recentlyreleased debut EP BEER’S BETTER COLD that debuted in the Top 20 of Billboard’s Country Albums chart. Arts has found an extra boost of success from a surprising place, as her songs “I Hate This” and “Somebody Like That” both soared up the iTunes digital song sales charts after she performed them, on two separate occasions, on the ABC reality show The Bachelor. In January, “Somebody Like That” broke into the Top 10 of iTunes’ all-genre song sales chart, and climbed up to the No. 2 spot on the country chart. She is also a part of CMT’s Next Women of Country Class of 2021. Hardy is the songwriter-turned-artist who got a big stamp of approval in 2019 when Blake Shelton cut “God’s Country,” a song that he co-wrote, and took it to the top of the country charts in record time.”Give Heaven Some Hell” is the latest single culled from the singer-songwriter’s debut album, A Rock, which dropped in September via Big Loud Records. The song follows “One Beer,” a No. 1 single -- Hardy’s first as an artist -- featuring Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson. The final CRS 2021 New Faces member, Stell, has two No. 1 hits to his name. He notched his first with “Prayed for You” in October of 2019 and his second with “Everywhere But On” in November of this year. With “That Ain’t Me No More” delivering Matt’s first new music since October’s Better Than That EP, the Arkansas native is one of only seven debut country artists in the last five years to have their first two singles top the charts. Matt has amassed over 360 Million cumulative streams to date and has certainly earned his spot as one of only five performers selected to Country Radio Seminar’s 2021 New Faces of Country Music class, which will be held later this month. The 2021 CRS New Faces of Country Music event is set for Feb. 19, the final day of the four-day event. Those who register for CRS’ virtual 2021 event will be able to attend the showcase.

Tim McGraw released his very first single to country radio, “What Room was the Holiday In,” in 1991. Coming into its 20-year anniversary, a lot has changed about the music business and what is required or necessary to be a successful artist. Social media was definitely not part of the equation. Facebook and Twitter weren’t a thing until 2006. There were no live-stream concerts or interactive online chats, and streaming services like Spotify, and Pandora didn’t launch until the mid-2000’s. 30 years into his career, which is as hot as ever, Tim says, “It’s been a learning art for me, and sometimes I enjoy it and sometimes I don’t. I think really, the through line for me, through all of the madness and the changes and all those things, is knowing yourself as an artist. Knowing who you are as an artist and knowing what you do well, and even more importantly, knowing what you don’t do well, that’s the consistency that you have.” Check out “Undivided,” Tim’s single with Tyler Hubbard, at https://www.timmcgraw.com/

It is the second single from A Rock, his debut album as an artist. “It’s an honor to be No. 1 most-added this week,” HARDY told MusicRow. “It’s an accomplishment that I had yet to achieve, so I am very proud of the songwriters and the radio team for making this happen. I really hope that taking this song to radio will help reach a wider audience than it already has, so that the song may help people get through losing a loved one. Thank y’all!”

On “Freedom Was A Highway,” Allen and Paisley’s vocals pair to reminisce about the nostalgia and simplicity of more carefree, youthful days; the track also features a distinctive Paisley signature guitar solo. The song was co-written by Allen, Ash Bowers and Matt Rogers. “When I was writing this song with my co-writers, I imagined myself driving down my favorite roads in Delaware. I’ve loved this song from the creation,” Allen says of the track. “Freedom Was A Highway” was first featured on Allen’s album Bettie James, which has garnered more than 118 million streams and widespread critical acclaim since its July 2020 release via Stoney Creek Records/BBR Music Group. Songwriter Ed Bruce has passed away, aged 81, on January 8. He is best-known for co-writing “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” that became a hit for Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson after they included it on their 1978 album Waylon & Willie. Bruce had earlier recorded the song himself (co-written with then-wife Patsy Bruce) and scored a Top 20 Country hit with it in 1975. As an artist, in the 1980’s, he scored a number of country hits with songs such as “You’re the Best Break This Old Heart Ever Had,” “Ever, Never Lovin’ You,” “After All” and “You Turn Me On (Like a Radio).” He looked like a cowboy and appeared in several western movies, including “The Last Days of Frank and Jesse James” and TV westerns such as “Bret Maverick.” On January 7, we also lost Jamie O’Hara, a songwriter whose hits included “Grandpa, tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days” recorded by The Judds, which earned him a Grammy. His other hits as a writer included “Older Women” and “Wandering Eyes” recorded by Ronnie McDowell. He also had a successful recording career, both solo and with Kieran Kane as The O’Kanes that charted seven singles on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles charts. Another sad loss: Misty Morgan passed away January 1, 2021, aged 75. With Jack Blanchard she debuted on the country charts in 1969 with “Big Black Bird (Spirit of Our Love)” and scored a country No. 1 in 1970 with “Tennessee Bird Walk.” That song was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group (they lost to Johnny Cash & June Carter). With “Tennessee Bird Walk” Misty became the first female to be listed as Producer on a hit country song. The duo placed 15 titles on the country charts in 1969-1976, according to an article in MusicRow by Robert K. Oermann.

TRIO TOUR NEWS:

VACCINE NEWS:

Darryl Worley takes center stage as part of the Country Rewind tour. Hit-making Bryan White and Wade Hayes are also part of the lineup. “Everyone needs to work and pay the bills so, for me, this is another prayer answered,” said Worley. “I’m so thankful to be going out and making some music with my friends and for my friends. I hope we can make everybody forget about all the difficult times we are experiencing, relax for a while and enjoy an evening together.” “The Country Rewind tour was birthed from a desire to create a fun, positive music experience for fans and artists alike,” explains Missy Wolf, co-founder of Center Stage Magazine. “We ultimately wanted to help artists we know and love come together in a stress-free environment to give fans something positive to look forward to.” The tour is being presented by Center Stage Magazine in association with 180 Talent Group and launched in Fernandina Beach, FL in January. Additional stops include Austin, TX; Kansas City, MO; Lincoln, NE; Knoxville, TN; Louisville, KY; Indianapolis, IN; and Macon, GA. Details and tickets at https://countryrewindtour.com/

TOUR NEWS: Thomas Rhett is a huge music fan and could often be spotted at concerts before the pandemic hit. So, when he thinks about who he would love to see in concert right about now, he says, “Oh my goodness, at this point I would go see anybody! But if you’ve never seen Bruno [Mars], it really is an incredible show.” There are plenty of great country artists Thomas would love to see in concert, including Luke Combs. “I got to sing with Luke Combs when he played at Bridgestone,” says Thomas. “Luke Combs’ concert is absolutely mind blowing. I’ve never seen people sing album cuts louder than the singles in my entire life, except for a Luke Combs concert. So, I would definitely encourage everybody to go watch him on the road.” Rhett has rescheduled his 2020 tour, and it is now set to kick off June 3rd. Check updates and more at thomasrhett.com.

Loretta Lynn is “Ready to put Covid in the rear-view mirror.” In January, Loretta, who is 88, and daughter Peggy Jean ventured out of their ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., for Loretta to get her first shot of the vaccine, as she is considered to be a candidate because of her age in the “75 and over” group. Loretta has had several health concerns in recent years, including pneumonia. On social media, she said she was “sure glad to get it” and “I enjoyed the mom-daughter time too!” Another ‘Country senior Citizen’ rolling up his sleeve: Willie Nelson, 87, who took advantage of a drive-up service at Family Hospital Systems in Texas, also got his vaccine in January.

VIDEO NEWS: Show Dog Nashville artist Clay Walker is riding rising waves of accolades into the new year for his latest single, “Need A Bar Sometimes.” On Jan. 29 CMT. com added the song’s video on its Music Video Page, with CMT Music (their 24/7 video channel) airing it this month as well. The pool tables, hazy light and neon-bathed bars stools perfectly mirror the lyric’s call to “lean back with a long neck” or “turn the jukebox up, light one up and just get lost in the smoke.” “Need A Bar Sometimes” debuted as the third most added single on country radio and continues to gain airplay at stations across the country with recent strides in key markets including Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, and Seattle. The single has also garnered more than 9.5 million ondemand streams. Clay’s achievements include 11 No. 1 songs at country radio, 31 Billboard-charting singles, four RIAA PLATINUM albums, two additional GOLD-certified albums and countless concert performances. His 12th album, produced by Michael Knox and Jaron Boyer, will be released later this year, with “Need A Bar Sometimes” among its tracks. See the video via https://www.claywalker.com/
