Sanlam Reality presents: Reality Core and Reality Plus. Each of these membership options offers a range of benefits to suit your specific lifestyle needs. Within each of these options, you can also choose Single or Family. On the Single membership options, only the principal member may utilise or book benefits. On the Family membership options, the principal member may register immediate family members. These registered family members will each receive their own Sanlam Reality membership number and card.

Programme activities and status tiers are available to Reality Core and Reality Plus members. Points earned and tier thresholds are identical for Reality Core and Reality Plus and also interchangeable should you switch options.

At the end of a calendar year, your total points earned during the year will establish your tier (Bronze, Silver or Gold) for the following year. You will then enjoy the discounts applicable to that tier on your selected membership option. You will also carry over a percentage of your points balance into the new calendar year. Consult the table below for the points needed to move up the tiering table once a year. Throughout this welcome book, you will see Bronze, Silver and Gold indicators highlighting the discount percentage per tier for the various benefits.

Money Saver Card
Get money back with the Money Saver card! Sanlam Reality brings you a world-class day-to-day transactional shopping card. Every time you use your Money Saver card at our list of national partners, including Pick n Pay, participating Engens, Dis-Chem, Clicks, Edgars, Jet and many more, you qualify to earn towards a cash-back bonus. We are so confident that you will find value in our Money Saver card, that we are offering it free for the first 12 months – that’s a saving of R600. You have nothing to lose; try it and gain a cash-back bonus for shopping! You can earn back up to 10% of your monthly shopping as a bonus. Your bonus is calculated according to a percentage table, which is related to your Sanlam Reality membership option tier status as well as the shopping category and amount spent. Please see tables on the following page. Some shopping categories are capped relative to your total spend: for example, fuel rebates are capped at 10% of monthly spend meaning that if your fuel bill is 12% of total spend you will earn discounts on the first 10%. Caps are there to avoid abuse and we have set them based on reasonable average spend. Based on your credit worthiness, you will qualify for a monthly credit limit. The card payment month runs from the 16th of the current month to the 15th of the following month. The monthly credit amount is interest free, up to 45 days and needs to be settled in full. You will also not pay transactional fees at any of the national retail partners, as all transactions are included in your monthly R50 administration fee. This fee is only applicable after month 13.

Your bonus is earned across spend categories and tier levels as illustrated. For example, if you are a Sanlam Reality member on the Silver tier status and you spend R12 000 on groceries in one month (capped at 50%), then the first R5 000 will earn 2% towards your cash-back bonus and the next R1 000 will earn 4% towards your cash-back bonus.

Sanlam Gap Cover Sanlam Reality members have access to an additional special benefit with Sanlam Gap Cover. The hospital cash benefit will be paid out from the third day of hospitalisation, instead of the seventh day, as is standard practise.
