Results from a recent phone survey conducted by LeisurePlan International suggest Greater Napanee could move forward to the next phase of building an indoor pool at the Strathcona Paper Centre location. That’s according to LeisurePlan’s John Stevenson, who is project director with the Toronto-based consulting firm the town has retained to determine the feasibility of building a public pool. He presented his findings to council on Tuesday. He stated that 185 children aged 0-19 and 368 adults aged 20-64 who were surveyed support the notion that the town should move to the next phase of their plan. The random survey conducted earlier this year asked respondents questions such as whether they’d use an indoor aquatics facility, what types of programs they’d take part in and where the most preferred location for an indoor pool would be for them. “We conclude that based on the findings of the market research and the magnitude and characteristics of the potential future demand identified for participation in indoor
