AUTO ELECTRICIAN & DIAGNOSTIC TECHNICIAN General description of duties: This vacancy requires a qualified & skilled auto electrician who can perform diagnostics assessments, who can exercise effective control of passenger vehicles regarding electrical and diagnostic maintenance, as well as air conditioners, and to attend to breakdowns to ensure a professional service to customers. Minimum requirements: Educational qualification: * Qualified auto electrician (N3 qualification) * Certificate in Diagnosis Technician * Computer literate - MS Office & Automate (an advantage) * Grade 12 Experience: * Technical courses completed through the manufacturer would be an advantage * Knowledge and working-experience on air conditioners * Knowledge and working-experience on automotive electrical * Sales Administration and ordering process experience * Preventative auto electrical maintenance on passenger and LCV vehicles experience Skills & competencies: * Strong analytical skills & enthusiasm for motor trade * Administrative skills to manage efficiently job-cards and other admin duties * Well developed communication and interpersonal skills * Customer orientated * Willing to travel and work after hours & weekends * Participate actively in problem solving * Team player with neat & outgoing personality * Assist with standby at any time and to travel to attend to breakdowns * High level of diagnostic skills Added advantages & requirements: * Namibian Citizen * Minimum of 5 years experience * Knowledge of parts interpretation * Drivers license minimum code 8 It will further be expected from the successful candidate to promote our product, increase the market share and canvassing of existing and new clients. We offer Maersk Namibia (comprising Maersk Line and Safmarine) has a vacancy for a Landside Operations Analyst, based in Walvis Bay, Namibia and reporting into the Country Manager. The incumbent will be a member of the local leadership team. Ideal Candidate Individual with a strong can do attitude (solutions driven). Strong background and experience in the containerized (or shipping) industry. An individual who is strong analytically and who can bring a collaborative and marketing flare to an operational role. Ability to engage with both junior and senior stakeholders internally as well as externally. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) 1. Customer Focus – Strong collaboration with the local commercial team to provide best in class service to our customers. Keep abreast of market developments and general shipping trends that allow us to make informed decisions that add value to our customers businesses and ours. 2. Equipment Management – Plan, monitor, maintain target stock levels and drive empty container turn time efficiencies. Drive depot performance in making equipment available. Manage resupply and evacuation of stock to meet stock target levels in the most cost efficient manner. Manage cost efficiencies in equipment flow. · Intermodal – Manage and drive our intermodal product offering. Promote and grow corridor development and actively engage with local stakeholders as well as origin and destination Maersk Liner Business offices. · Stakeholder Management - Maintain and grow external/ internal relations via proactive and clear communication and having a collaborative mind set. · Supplier Service Level Agreements - Monitor supplier delivery to commitment, regular reviews of performance and via collaboration / accountability drive continuous improvement · Constant Care - Coordinate and execute repacks and inspections with Customers, Surveyors, and Customs. · Drive Land side cost improvements. · Market intelligence · This role may require after hours and weekend standby for landside operational matters.
