Coastal Runners Set to Conquer Two Oceans Marathon

About 100 coastal Runners from BRG Running Club, Walvis Bay Shore Runners, Walvis Bay Road Runners and Swakop Striders are set to conquerthe26thHalfMarathonand54thUltraMarathonoftheTwoOceansMarathononSaturday5andSunday6AprilinCapeTownSouth Africa.

The runners will compete in South Africa's best loved road race, often voted the most breathtaking courseintheworldduetothenaturalsplendourof the 21 1km and 56km course that include Chapman'sPeak,Muizenberg,StJames,KalkBay, Constantia and Newlands for personal glory, personal bests and personal insanity The 54th TotalsportsTwoOceansUltraMarathon,oneofthe world'smosticonictestsofenduranceissetforon Saturday 5 April in the spectacular course around theCapePeninsulainCapeTownSouthAfrica.The coastalrunnersthatwillcompeteintheTwoOceans Ultra Marathon: BRG Running Club: Suné Lourens, Hennie Lacock, Claudia Fortuin, Alwyn Maass,ChristiDukhie,GerhardSnydersandIstvan Oosthuizen. ThestageissetforthestartoftheNationalRallyChampionshipsonSaturday 5AprilinandaroundSwakopmund.

Walvis Bay Motor Club (WBMC) under the auspices of the Namibia Motorsport Federation willonceagainbethehostoftheSwakopRallya spectator friendly rally, with the Martin Luther, Soutpanne, Daggabos and Nonidas stages promising not to disappoint. The Swakop Rally thatwillstartat10:00fromtheOceanViewShell inthecoastaltownwillsee15teamsintheS1and S2classwillparticipate,whileintheoff-roador bakkie class CR1 and CR 2 vehicles will be in action over 106 km over 9 stages in and around Swakopmund.Thereigning champions Zachary Martin andAnique Schoeman in their VW Polo 2.0 will do their best to defend their S2 and national titles whilst Allan Martin and Maretha Olivier in their Skoda R5 will also be inaction. Oswaldo Mendes and his navigator in their MitsubishiEvoandStefanieBotha/MandiHugo intheirSubaruImpresawillalsocompetefrothe S4 class title.The S2 class will be full of action with Zachary Martin and Anique Schoeman in theirVWPolo2.0,HanreMyburgh/GeonEllis in their Polo Vivo, Wido Bartsch / Raymond Fourie in their VW Polo 2.0 and Peer Röhm / Pieter Steyn in their Ford Escourt all out to take
