The GMA® is an entry-level certification exam designed for new residential mortgage professionals. The exam tests the candidate’s knowledge of ethics, rules and regulations of the mortgage industry, the roles and organizations involved in the industry, and the types of products and services offered.
NAMB's mid-level credential for those who want to commit to higher standards of professional practice. The Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS® ) certification exam measures the knowledge of mortgage professionals who have been in the industry for at least two years.
NAMB's most advanced credential for mortgage professionals who want to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism. The Certified Mortgage Consultant (CMC® ) certification exam measures the knowledge of mortgage professionals who have been in the industry for at least five years.
The Certified Credit Specialist (CCS) performs professional in-depth credit analysis to educate customers and demonstrates mastery of credit review.
The Lending Integrity Seal of Approval (NAMB L.I.S.A.) helps home buyers find hardworking, ethical mortgage professionals. To earn the seal, professionals undergo a rigorous process – continuing education, criminal background check and pledge to a strict code of ethics and best business practices.

NAMBPAC raises money to elect and re-elect candidates that have clear understanding of the topics that are at the forefront of the mortgage broker industry and who support our initiatives.
NAMBPAC’s primary function is to support those candidates whose voting record and vision reflect the interests of our industry. NAMBPAC promotes member companies and their employees to participate in the campaign process ensuring that we have friends and allies in Congress.
When you contribute to NAMBPAC you are helping your business and, on a larger scale, the Mortgage Broker Industry. NAMB members are able to build a united voice on Capitol Hill and provide a key role in the campaign process by contributing funds to support candidates who share the same view points and outlook for our industry. By sending messages to candidates and elected leaders, NAMBPAC provides pivotal information that helps the decision makers on Capitol Hill know and understand the issues affecting the mortgage broker industry.
Yes. However the money your company donates will go in to the NAMBPAC non-federal account. What is the difference between NAMBPAC’s non-federal account and multi-candidate account? NAMBPAC’S multi-candidate account is comprised of individual donations called “hard dollars”. Hard dollars represent an individual’s earnings that he or she wishes to contribute. These funds are donated to political candidates for election and re-election. NAMBPAC’S non-fed account is comprised of corporate donations called “soft dollars” Soft dollars are a companies or association’s earnings that help defray the administrative cost of operating the PAC.
Membership includes free registration to NAMB’s three core events: NAMB Focus is our January marketing, sales & technology conference. NAMB LRC is our spring legislative & regulatory conference, held in DC. And NAMB National is the annual big kahuna, at Vegas in the fall!
Our first event of the year is held in January, in the East (as a complement to our annual fall conference in Vegas). The focus is on marketing, sales & tech, so attendees can begin the new year with clear goals & tools for success.
This members-only event features dynamic speakers, hot topics,, lobbying on Capitol Hill, and a fun-filled PAC reception. The DC event is a critical component of NAMB’s robust legislative agenda.
