LEED Certification for Academic Block

As part of the Namal Education Foundation’s initiative for environmental and energy conservation, the Academic Block - 1 is designed to be a resource efficient and cost effective building, constructed with the intention of creating a healthier environment for anyone who walks through its doors. In line with our aim for a minimal carbon footprint, the selection of each material in all aspects of construction has been made with utmost attention to detail. These include the low-cost and durable mud blocks as building material, solar panels for energy, low-emission clear glass for windows, tiles and paint finishes. To this end, and with pride, we’d like to announce that this school will be one of the first of its kind in Pakistan to have LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) certification; a globally recognized symbol of achievement in sustainable construction.
