Honoring A Green Pakistan On

NAMAL PLANTATION DRIVE

The

plantation drive is nothing new at Namal. Last year the College, with the help of Friends of Namal, students, faculty and staff members planted more than 2,000 olive trees covering an area of 8 acres. The tree plan-

tation drive was led by Mr. Imran Khan who had the honor of planting the first tree. The saplings were donated by Barani Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) which also provided technical assistance.

In keeping with Namal's vision for the creation of economic value while ensuring environmental sustainability, the College regularly conducts campus-wide tree plantation drives. In addition to olives the college has also planted Alstonia, Pine, and Jaman.

Both countries generously contributed to the cause and Namal extends its deepest

gratitude to the teams in USA and Canada that worked tirelessly year round to make these events successful.
