FROM THE COMMUNITY DESK

Our priority at Port de La Mer is creating a community where safety, comfort and connection go hand in hand. This year, we introduced a unified access card system and activated ANPR for seamless vehicle entry, while fencing along the breakwaters strengthens coastal safety and protects our shoreline infrastructure.

We’ve also enhanced resident leisure and convenience with new poolside furniture, upgraded amenities and refreshed wheel stoppers across all carparks to maintain safety and order.

Community engagement continues to thrive through events such as summer ice cream distribution and Summer Splash Together, fostering connection and a strong sense of community spirit.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce a brand-new children’s play area, set for completion by the end of this year, further enhancing family-friendly facilities and making Port de La Mer an even more welcoming place to call home.

Food Scraps To Helpful Hacks

Sustainability starts at home and the choices we make every day can add up to a huge difference for our planet.

Here are some simple, creative ways to repurpose your food scraps at home so they stay out of the bin and are put to better use.

Banana peels to supercharged fertilizer.

Chop and bury them in your plants or blend with water. Your garden is going to have a spa day with the ‘aunaturel’ nutrients.

Morning Brew

Fun Fact

Did you know that one cup of coffee creates about 0.45 kg of CO₂?

Close to the footprint you’d leave if you were driving your car for 2kms. Sipping from a carton cup? That carbon adds up even more.

Easy swaps can help shrink your footprint:

Bring your own reusable cup

Ditch single-use sugar packets and creamers

Leftover Orange Peels?

These are not just scraps, once dried and powdered, they are your new all-natural dyes for painting, fabric or even adding a colourful twist to your food.

Don’t toss those watermelon rinds just yet.

Chop them up, mix with water and voilà! A nutrient-packed juice is ready to give your garden soil a tasty boost.

Choose organic or local beans

Swap plastic stirrers for wooden or metal spoons

Small changes, big impact. Make every sip kinder to our planet.

EVENTFUL TIMES

A season filled with moments, memories and milestones.

Summer Splash Together

This summer was all about big smiles, laughter and a splash of surprises and discounts for the residents at Wild Wadi Waterpark.

HOME & HEART

One of the joys of community living is finding friendships right outside your doorstep.

This feature celebrates neighbours who become companions, cheerleaders, and even extended family, making our communities feel like home.

This month, we share a story where a furry, four-legged friend brought a family closer to their neighbours in the community.

We’ve called Shoreline Residences home for over five years and while the beachfront views first drew us in, what truly makes this place special is the life we’ve built as a family.

Our days often begin with George, our beautiful dog, tugging at the leash, eager to visit his friends at the two dog parks. Those parks aren’t just for play, they’re where we’ve met neighbours who have quickly become friends.

With our little one now in the picture, Shoreline feels like the perfect place to raise a family. From safe walkways and play areas to cafés at Golden Mile, every outing becomes a shared moment.

For us, Shoreline isn’t just an address, it’s where our child grows up surrounded by warmth, George feels at home and friendships are part of everyday life.

Ensure everyone has a safe and pleasant experience and keep these guidelines in mind.

Don’t leave open containers of water or stagnant water in bird baths.

Trim overgrown plants and gardens to reduce hiding places.

Fight The Bite

As the weather cools off, the mosquitoes RSVP themselves to your home like uninvited party crashers. The good news?

Property Damages From External Factors, What You Need To Know

Spot a leak/damage inside your home and aren’t sure where it’s coming from?

Here’s how you can get this addressed with the help of Dubai Holding Community Management’s intervention.

As per RERA’s Circular 12 of 2023

THE FIRST STEP

Homeowners can submit their request via the Mollak Services Gateway to initiate the process.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN?

Upon notifying DHCM, a neutral RERAapproved inspection company will assess the damage. An inspection report will identify the cause, responsible party, suggested solutions and estimated repair costs.

THE ROOT LIES AT HOME

Upon inspection, if the homeowner is responsible for repairs, costs must be borne by the owner and DHCM may be authorised to carry out repairs.

WHO’S TO BLAME?

Homeowner will be notified about access for inspection. If denied, RERA may issue a warning and further escalate to the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre. In this case, the homeowner must cover all repair costs.
