FROM THE COMMUNITY DESK
Over the past 10 months, we’ve made great strides in enhancing our community’s safety, sustainability and sense of connection. Greener landscaping, upgraded irrigation and energy-saving LED lights have refreshed our surroundings, while new road markings and rumble strips ensure safer streets.
Eco-initiatives like beach clean-ups and improved environmental monitoring continue to support our sustainability goals. Facility upgrades guided by resident feedback are shaping more comfortable and convenient spaces for all. Through regular community events and safety collaborations, we’re strengthening bonds and creating a more secure, welcoming neighbourhood.
Thank you for being part of this journey as we continue to build a greener, safer and more connected community together.

ECO WINS

Eco-Friendly Gains
The community gymnasium now features energy-efficient LED lighting, providing brighter illumination during workouts, reduced energy use, longer-lasting bulbs and lower maintenance, enhancing both your fitness experience and our community’s sustainability.

FOOD SCRAPS TO HELPFUL HACKS
At Manazel Al Khor, sustainability isn’t just a goal but an ongoing journey to create a greener and safer community.
Here are some simple, creative ways to repurpose your food scraps at home so they stay out of the bin and are put to better use.

Banana peels to supercharged fertilizer.
Chop and bury them in your plants or blend with water. Your garden is going to have a spa day with the ‘aunaturel’ nutrients.
Leftover Orange Peels?
These are not just scraps, once dried and powdered, they are your new all-natural dyes for painting, fabric or even adding a colourful twist to your food.

Don’t toss those watermelon rinds just yet.
Chop them up, mix with water and voilà! A nutrient-packed juice is ready to give your garden soil a tasty boost.
Morning Brew Fun Fact
Did you know that one cup of coffee creates about 0.45 kg of CO₂?
Close to the footprint you’d leave if you were driving your car for 2kms. Sipping from a carton cup? That carbon adds up even more.
Easy swaps can help shrink your footprint:
Bring your own reusable cup
Ditch single-use sugar packets and creamers

Choose organic or local beans
Swap plastic stirrers for wooden or metal spoons

HOME & HEART
One of the joys of community living is finding friendships right outside your doorstep.
This feature celebrates neighbours who become companions, cheerleaders, and even extended family, making our communities feel like home.

This month, we share a story where a furry, four-legged friend brought a family closer to their neighbours in the community.
We’ve called Shoreline Residences home for over five years and while the beachfront views first drew us in, what truly makes this place special is the life we’ve built as a family.
Our days often begin with George, our beautiful dog, tugging at the leash, eager to visit his friends at the two dog parks. Those parks aren’t just for play, they’re where we’ve met neighbours who have quickly become friends. With our little one now in the picture, Shoreline feels like the perfect place to raise a family. From safe walkways and play areas to cafés at Golden Mile, every outing becomes a shared moment.
For us, Shoreline isn’t just an address, it’s where our child grows up surrounded by warmth, George feels at home and friendships are part of everyday life
In the words of Nathan Hemingway, Palm Jumeirah

FROM THE REGULATOR’S DESK
Property Damages From External Factors, What You Need To Know
Spot a leak/damage inside your home and aren’t sure where it’s coming from?
Here’s how you can get this addressed with the help of Dubai Holding Community Management’s intervention.
As per RERA’s Circular 12 of 2023
THE FIRST STEP
Homeowners can submit their request via the Mollak Services Gateway to initiate the process.
HOW DID IT HAPPEN?
Upon notifying DHCM, a neutral RERAapproved inspection company will assess the damage. An inspection report will identify the cause, responsible party, suggested solutions and estimated repair costs.

THE ROOT LIES AT HOME
Upon inspection, if the homeowner is responsible for repairs, costs must be borne by the owner and DHCM may be authorised to carry out repairs.
WHO’S TO BLAME?
Homeowner will be notified about access for inspection. If denied, RERA may issue a warning and further escalate to the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre. In this case, the homeowner must cover all repair costs.
