10 Overcoming Division

Luke 6:35-36

35 “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most-High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. 36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.

PRAYER Lord, help us keep our eyes on You. Keep us from falling into the trap of divisiveness that continues to hold this country. Protect us as we inevitably move through spaces that are unwelcoming. Remind us of how You have forgiven us of our sins, as we try to forgive those who have sinned against us. Teach us to love our enemies. Amen.

Mark 12:30-31 30 And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” 11 PRAYER Lord, thank You for loving us first, even when we didn’t deserve it. Remind us that above all of our worldly plans and ambitions, love is our mission. Help us be a reflection of your love. Amen.

DAY 12 Patience is a Virtue

PRAYER

2 Timothy 2:23-25 23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.
Father God, grant us the patience in this midst of this season to focus on You and the ultimate goal rather than mere arguments that would take us off our course. Fix our minds and hearts on you to do good. Amen.

DAY 13 Love Over Anger

James 1:19-20

PRAYER

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
Most Merciful God, we give You thanks for the ability to soften our hearts even in the midst of our worldly frustrations. We welcome peace and patience during this season to fulfill the plans you have for Your people. Amen.

DAY 14 Pray About Everything

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

PRAYER

Dear Lord, we thank You for the gift of divine access in connecting with You through our prayers. We trust that what You hear from us and all that is on our hearts will be answered. Thanking You for helping us to turn our worry into worship. Amen.

DAY 18 All of Our Talents Come from God 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all. PRAYER Dear Lord, thank You for the many gifts and talents that you have bestowed on us for the benefit of us all. Allow us to work with each other in unity for the glory of Your Kingdom. Amen.
