SPYMONKEY THE COMPLETE DEATHS TUESDAY 31 MAY & WEDNESDAY 1 JUNE Tue & Wed eves 7.30pm Wed mat 2.30pm

The four ‘seriously, outrageously, cleverly funny clowns’ (Time Magazine) will scale the peaks of sublime poetry, and plumb the depths of darkest depravity. It may even be the death of them. PUCCINI LA BOHEME

Sung in Italian with English surtitles

WEDNESDAY 12 OCTOBER 7.30pm

La Boheme is one of the most romantic operas ever written. This brand new production is traditionally staged with beautiful sets to reflect the Bohemian art of the period. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. This classic tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Muzetta’s Waltz.

‘AUTHENTIC, TENDER AND PASSIONATE’ Daily Telegraph

VERDI NABUCCO

Sung in Italian with English surtitles

THURSDAY 13 OCTOBER 7.30pm

This powerful tale is laced with revenge, destruction and jealousy. Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco. A spectacular traditionally staged production featuring magnificent sets and costumes with amazing lighting and stage effects. Nabucco promises to be an evening to remember.

‘A TERRIFIC PRODUCTION OF VERDI’S EPIC TALE’ Liverpool Daily Post

Sung in Italian with English surtitles

Starring the International French soprano Olga Perrier. Aida, the grandest of all Ellen Kent’s operas, returns to HFC with a stunning new traditional production. The splendour of Egypt is set against the grandeur of the Coliseum of Rome in this tragic story of war, jealousy and revenge at whose heart is the doomed love of the beautiful Ethiopian slave girl, Aida, and the Egyptian hero, Radames, brought to life with the well-known arias Celeste Aida, Ritorna Vincitor and the Triumphal March

Amit Lahav’s production invites the audience to experience a series of extraordinary images, jaw-dropping choreography and a tantalizing multilingual vocal landscape.
