Spring 2016 sees a brilliant line-up of eclectic talent at Hall For Cornwall, from the razzle-dazzle of the multi award-winning West End musical Chicago high-kicking it into town, to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, an epic and ambitious production of the nation’s favourite Shakespeare play performed as never before.

New Jersey Nights will take you on a musical journey celebrating the greatest hits of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, whilst English Touring Opera will immerse you in Mozart’s dramatic musical score, with a colourful and lavish staging of Don Giovanni.

THE MAYOR OF TRURO’S CHARITY GALA SATURDAY 16 JANUARY 7.30pm A wonderful evening of music, starring Jonathan Antoine (Britain’s Got Talent), compered by BBC Radio Cornwall’s Daphne Skinnard and supported by an array of local talent including Culdrose Military Wives Choir, Karen and Bromley Hurn, Roche Brass Band and Amici Voci (Friends Voices). The evening concludes with a rousing ‘Last Night of The Proms’ led by Jonathan for a truly climatic end to a wonderful evening of music. Proceeds from the evening, will be donated to Emmaus Cornwall, a charity supported by Terry Waite, dedicated to providing a home and meaningful work for those in need.

Songfest is a celebration of singing!

Gerda’s friend, Kai, is abducted by the Snow Queen. Unless Gerda can rescue him, the country will remain in the grip of winter forever. Gerda and her friends have many adventures and triumph with the aid of the Good Fairy. Winter departs and spring awakes. Celebrating the music of the great George Gershwin, Duchy Ballet showcases the multiple talents of its dancers in the style of the 1930s musicals.

As part of the Cornwall Music Education Hub’s commitment to supporting young people’s singing across Cornwall, Songfest is a vocal showcase of soloists, small groups and choirs from around Cornwall. Join #HFC Youth Dance to develop your talent as a contemporary dancer.

For young people aged 7-21 years who have a passion for acting, theatre-making and performance.

#HFC Youth Dance is for young people aged 12-19 years. They meet every two weeks during term time from 10.30am – 4.30pm with extended workshops in the school holidays.

#HFC Youth Theatre is led by professional practitioners to build skills, create new work and perform live theatre. These groups meet on a Saturday in term time at HFC.

#HFC Youth Dance take part in large scale performances and work with world renowned choreographers throughout the year. To take part all you need is a passion for dance and a desire to learn.
