NEWS & VIEWS

LOCAL PAIR’S NEW PROJECT

S

ynonymous with successful residential property marketing and sales for more than 30 years, PRD Project Marketing is making a comeback courtesy of a new partnership between two Sunshine Coast property marketing identities. Rick Williams and Damian Brown have teamed up for a new project marketing venture and have secured the use of the PRD Project Marketing name under license, initially for projects across South-East Queensland. Williams is co-owner and director of PRDNationwide Buderim, and says it was an easy choice given their history with the brand. “I have been involved with PRD for more than 10 years, both in north Queensland originally and now here on the Sunshine Coast, while Damian was PRD’s first research manager in the company’s early days on the Gold Coast when it pioneered

professional project marketing and sales,” Williams says. “It’s a perfect fit and we are equally thrilled to maintain our connection with such a well-established and trusted brand.” Williams and Brown (who is the co-founder of Urban21) say the hallmark of the original brand was to offer a comprehensive service specifically designed to suit each project, and they believe their

combined skills in research and market analysis, planning and design, the development of marketing plans and sales management will deliver results. “While the market is clearly different today, we believe there are some important principles which have been neglected in recent times to the detriment of the projects and clients,” Brown says. “What we know hasn’t changed is that attention to market knowledge, planning and design at the start of the project is just as critical as the sales process at the end. It remains a total process.” Williams and Brown say they believe early 2013 is the ideal time to launch the new venture. “There is no doubt there is still uncertainty across the residential sector,” Brown says. “However we are seeing clear evidence that the severe caution that has dominated the past two years is giving way to some optimism.”
