This two-day celebration of all things St. Peters features music, food, and fun for the whole family By David Faults, P.R./communications specialist, city of St. Peters One of the biggest parties of the year in St. Charles County is coming up on Sept. 19 and 20 and you’re invited! Celebrate St. Peters 2014 has it all—great live entertainment, food, family fun, beautiful sunsets plus fireworks over the lake. You’ll find it all at 370 Lakeside Park in St. Peters. Admission, parking and shuttles to and from parking lots are all free. “We’re really looking forward to enjoying great music from exciting bands, plus affordable fun for the entire family at 370 Lakeside Park,” said St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano. “Celebrate St. Peters has quickly grown into a great community celebration. We hope to see you there, and we hope for some great weather so you can experience some more beautiful sunsets over the lake!” The party at 370 Lakeside Park begins Friday, Sept. 19, at 5 pm, and ends with a big bang on Saturday night, Sept. 20, with a fireworks display followed by the powerful southern country rock sounds of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils. KSHE 95 presents the Main Stage entertainment on Saturday night, beginning at 7 pm with popular arena rock

cover band Superjam, followed by the southern rock and country blues of special guest Powder Mill, and ending with Missouri’s own Ozark Mountain Daredevils, who hit the charts in the 70s with popular songs If You Wanna Get to Heaven and Jackie Blue. Friday night’s Main Stage entertainment, presented by Mid Rivers Newsmagazine and The Big 550 KTRS, begins at 7 pm with the amazing young performers of School of Rock opening for The Chris Weaver Band, Nashville’s hottest new sensation, performing a perfect blend of southern rock, soul and country blues. The exciting carnival will feature 14 rides for kids of all ages during sessions on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. Take a stroll through this year’s bigger and better vendor area from 5 – 11 pm on Friday and 10 am – 11 pm on Saturday. The Celebration will feature more than 70 vendors offering food, merchandise, crafts, games and more; and they have been moved closer to the Main Stage. Live entertainment on Saturday begins at 11 am on the VIPER-100.7 Celebrate Stage near the vendor area. The VIPER-100.7 FM Celebrate Stage offers something for everyone, from German/

Polka to Latin, classic rock to the Blues. These great free shows continue through 6:30 pm, just in time to move to the Main Stage. Saturday afternoon will be prime time for free family fun. From 11 am – 2 pm, kids can create art with Arty the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre mascot and build with The Home Depot. Beginning at 11 am, the Community News Family Stage will come alive with shows by See CELEBRATE on page 2
