Want to kick off fall 2016 with a weekend of free entertainment from your favorite classic rock bands, carnival rides, family shows, nearly 70 vendors, free parking and tons of fun for your entire family? Then check out Celebrate St. Peters 2016 on Sept. 16 and 17. Enjoy fantastic live music, food, kid’s activities, the beautiful sun setting over the lake and fireworks at 370 Lakeside Park. Event admission, parking and shuttles to and from parking lots are free. New this year is the start time for Main Stage entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30 p.m. You’ll want to remember to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy these concerts under the stars. “We’re really looking forward to enjoying great live music from exciting bands and affordable fun for the entire family at 370 Lakeside Park,” said St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano. “Celebrate St. Peters has quickly grown into a great community celebration. We hope to see you there!”

The party at 370 Lakeside Park begins Friday, Sept. 16, at 5 p.m. and ends on Saturday night, Sept. 17, with fireworks and a spectacular show by Randy Bachman. Friday night entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. featuring two classic rock favorites, Firefall and Orleans presented by Mid Rivers Newsmagazine and The Big 550 KTRS. Firefall returns with their classics like “Just Remember I Love You” and “You are the Woman,” and Orleans makes their first St. Peters appearance with hits including “Dance With Me” and “Still the One.” KSHE 95 presents the Main Stage entertainment on Saturday night, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with local favorites Rogers and Nienhaus. This talented duo has performed with The Byrds and other classic rock and country artists. After a fabulous fireworks display over the lake, Bachman and his band take the Main Stage with hits from his days as a founding member of both The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive (BTO).

He’s the man behind big hits like “Takin’ Care of Business,” “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet,” “American Woman” and “These Eyes.” See ST. PETERS page 2
