The Cashton Communi ty Club proudly presents to you the 75th Annual Cashton Fall Festival Parade Marshal, ChuckChuckJohnson.hasbeen an in tegral part of the parade for the past 43 years, since the centennial in 1976. He has also been in volved in many local parades and the famous Milwaukee Circus Parade. Chuck began presenting in this parade in 1985 with his team and wagon. He started with 2 horses and two walkers. In 1988 he joined his team with Don Hehn’s team to perform there.He has been involved in local parades including Wild West Days, Syttende Mai, Sparta Butterfest, Ontario, and Viola parades. Chuck has also been involved in many horse shows, dairy breakfasts, our local Santa visit, an escort in the Wild West Days and numerous local weddings. He partici pated in the rotary lights dis play for over 20 years at no cost to the riders. His most notable journey was escort ing his Father to his resting place during his funeral. Horses were a family tradition for Chuck starting with his Father Slim, then

Fall Fest Sunday nor mally falls on Grandparent’s day, so Slim would always ride through the parade with his granddaughter Sara, they even had the opportunity to ride the stagecoach with Dr. Menn.Chuck is a lifelong mem ber of Cashton, graduating from high school in 1978. Finally, after several years of attempting to draw a major midway attraction back to the Fall Festival, the wait is over. A contract has been signed and returned to Spectrum Midways for the first year. The last Midway was provided by Badgerland in 2019.Community Club mem bers are excited about the upcoming festival, knowing the absence of a carnival has made it difficult to appeal to a wide range of age groups. In recent years, the club has struggled to come up with ideas for events that appeal to middle school and high school aged kids.
