Hello, my dear readers! Here we are again with the very last issue of 2018. A new year is waiting, while we say goodbye to the old one. A new beginning for everyone. But right now... Christmas is coming! Aren't you exited? Because we are! But let's not procrastinate any further, let's see what this issue got for us: an amazing interview ypu will regrett not reading; an awesome land which could be described as a black and white drama circus; the second episode of Together is out! As always, we put a lot of effort to offer you these articles and we hope you'll enjoy reading them as much as we did writing them. We, at VSN, always try to bring every kind of content and/or designer to talk about and with, this month I decide to shine a light on a good friend of mine that puts all her passion and kindness in what she does and into her own store. I'm talking about Triss Nightshade, owner of Deadly Nightshade a whimsical and Magical store that sells a large variety of auras, effects, typers and, recently, moved onto original mesh too! Before starting I want to thank you, Triss, for the time you spent answering my questions and going back and forth on it! It's a pleasure having you here and aving the chance to talk with you about all this! So, without further ado, before i loose myself down the rabbit hole, lets start with the question!! 1) Tell us about yourself: How long have you been on SL? What brought you on the Grid? I’m a young adult, outgoing and very theatrical in nature. I love fantasy, and live for a good story or game! I’ve been in SL (off and on) for about 8 and a half years, and always end up coming back for the community. I’ve made some of my best friends in SL and love how connected it can be to the world at large. Like most people in SL I started out doing what everyone does, shopping! And when I figured out I could be anything I could imagine for a few $L I started creating all kinds of looks for myself. My avatar was basically a moving doll for me. But then it became more, it became a way to express myself in ways that aren’t possible in the real world.

I'm a blogger too but I was really impressed by this style, by Novata's video! So... this is Novata! Enjoy it! Q: Tell us a little about yourself, how was your passion for Blogging born? A: On my early days in Second Life, I watched a video made by Strawberry Singh on youtube and she was advising people about making quality content for Second Life to show others the best of this virtual space. I felt really touched by her words and I told to myself that someone day I was going to do something to promote SL. I was a fresh noob by then, around 2 months old so this was something I kept to myself (I had a classic body by then). Regardless being a noob by then, I used to work on my fashion and enjoy combining different outfits to create something new. A very good friend of mine liked my work and decided to gift me a bento body and head so I could start working on my dreams. I own him a lot. I can honestly say I’ve been very lucky to meet wonderful people who like my work and are happy to support me. Due to their love and best wishes I do my best in every video, even if it’s something short. I love all the possibilities I have inside Second Life to create new videos and photos. So I can combine my passion for fashion and animation.

Q: The world of Blogging is wide and varied, full of styles and personality. Your Flickr is very special because it contains beautiful photos and above all videos with really appealing graphics. How was this idea born? A: Thank you for your appreciation towards my work. Honestly, I don’t think my photos are special. I’m currently improving my editing skills regarding photoshop. Watching online tutorials and asking my friends for advice. If you notice, most of my pictures are covers from my youtube videos. It’s been a month ago since I decided to take more serious my photo editing. I didn’t really pay much attention to flickr, it was after I became vlogger for MOVE Animation Cologne that I started to upload my videos here and I was amazed for the good reception. Now if you ask me about my personal style in every video….well I always had the idea to be myself. I never wanted to do the same as other video bloggers (you know just talk and show items one by one) for me, Second Life is a real world so I want to show it like that. I love drawing, I love cinema, and fashion is about to create, explore, magic. I decided to combine all that and come up with something different. I like to show items (sponsor or free gifts) in a very dynamic way. I know some people are busy or tired in their real lives, so I hope by watching my videos they can not only find a useful item or information but to spend a good time. That’s why I take a lot of time and care choosing my music, effects and I make notes like if I was going to give an exam ahhahaah so all the information given is direct and clear easy to understand.

Q: Mainly collect information and show items as gifts, nowadays it is difficult to find quality gifts or just know where to look? A: Well I believe it depends where you look ahahaha. We have internet but some people like to wait for vloggers to show something on youtube, others are only connected to facebook and see repetitive items. I follow all the digital platforms and of course I have special places where to look for. Sometimes the small places are the best ones, you only need to pay attention. Q: Do you have a "time table" to share your videos or do you prefer to wait for the inspiration or the right mood? And how much time does it cost you to produce one? I guess it's not easy at all! A: I do have a time table for my monthly sponsor videos. Every 15th16th you’ll always find my fashion review for Equal10. And in the other hand, Move Animations Cologne requires me to make one video dance during the month so, we could say I have a schedule for them both. Now regarding my other content, as it takes me a lot of time, it depends of the topic. For example my free gifts editions are once a month. I don’t believe in quantity but quality. Tutorials are also in my list but I do it once I have free time and all my data organized. I have also some random content (music videos or short stories I make whenever I’m inspired, it can be anytime). The time I take to make videos depends on the topic, the length, quantity of outfits to display. I usually take 2 days to make a

dance video, 3-4 days to make my videos for equal10 and 3 days for my free gifts. I think I’m very slow and I like to pay attention to every detail. Since I improved my editing skills I became more critic with more work, thus I take more time. Q: What is your opinion on the world of gifts/hunts/group gifts? Do you think that over time something has changed like the needs/desires of the community, the ambition of designers? A: Well, I don’t know if I have a voice on this topic. I just turned one year old in SL ehehehe. But based on what I have seen during this year people really look for free items. Especially if you are new. This in the other hand is a nice way for designers to promote their stores. You will always have a group of people that goes for the free items and along with them people who will be happy to pay for a bit more. So it’s a nice publicity. I don’t participate much in hunts since I’m very busy but I think it’s nice for people to go with their friends and have fun searching together.
