Additional speakers confirmed for the panel are Justine Ward from GR, whose roster includes Primal Scream, Texas and Baby Strange, and Björn Sandberg, who looks after Glasgow act Casual Sex. An additional speaker is expected to be announced prior the event. “Dee seldom does interviews, so this will be a rare opportunity to hear the story of the manager of one of the world's biggest rock bands,” says Furniss. “It will also be very interesting to contrast his experiences with those of Björn and Justine.” About Dee Bahl: After a stint playing bass for Glasgow band Godstar, Dee Bahl began managing Biffy Clyro in 1999, and has been instrumental in steering the Kilmarnock trio from local heroes to one of the world’s most successful rock acts. In 2009, his 1554 Management company, signed a co-management deal with Warner Music UK’s Nostromo. Furniss adds that the traditional role of music managers is constantly evolving to adapt to an ever-changing business, and the night aims to provide an insight into the different approaches to the job. Following the interview and panel, the speakers will play a selection of their favourite tracks.
