Off The Record Day Announced For Platform in Glasgow's Easterhouse 1 March - Get your £2 tickets (which include lunch) in advance at www.offtherecord.me

Born To Be Wide has announced its third 'Off The Record' day, following the successful launch in October 2013 and a recent sell-out in Kirkcaldy. The event takes place on Saturday 1 March at Platform, Easterhouse, Glasgow and features workshops for young musicians and those interested in working in the music business.

Delivered in partnership with Platform, participating speakers include: Jim Gellatly (Clyde 1), Olaf Furniss (Born To Be Wide Director/The Scotsman), Michael Lambert (Born To Be Wide Director/artist manager), Hannah Currie (promoter, MILK Glasgow), Stuart Stenhouse (EmuBands), Keith McIvor (Optimo), Jamie Gilmour (artist manager) and Jennifer McGlone (Glow Arts). Admission is £2 (including lunch) and tickets must be bought in advance from www. offtherecord.me, or in person from the Platform box office at The Bridge, 1000 Westerhouse Road, Glasgow G34 9JW. A parental consent form is required from attendees aged under 18 which can be downloaded. Also included in the price is a free release worth £25, via Scotland's leading digital distribution company EmuBands. This covers Amazon, iTunes, Spotify and most other online stores and streaming services. Supported by the Scottish Government’s Youth Music Initiative (YMI), which is administered by Creative Scotland, Off The Record is open to anyone aged between 14-25, with key industry figures providing essential advice on subjects including releasing, promotion, earning money from music and organising/getting gigs.
