Brothers moved from California to small town Farmersville By David Jenkins Staff Writer

djenkins@csmediatexas.com It’s hard enough moving to a new school, but try relocating from another state. CJ was an incoming senior, Lyle a sophomore and Clayton

‘It was a big change. We went from a large town to a small one.’ Clay Hibbitts

was a seventh grader at the junior high. “It was a big change. We went from a large town to a small one,” Lyle said. Lyle and CJ played together on the varsity football team in 2014. The squad ended up 7-4 overall and made the playoffs. They teamed up once again on the baseball diamond in

Lyle entered his junior campaign, in 2015, playing varsity football on a team that struggled with injuries and finished with a losing record. The same couldn’t be said about the baseball team in 2016. They strung together an impressive run and in the end fell to Brock during the regional semi-

finals. “It was fun being able to make it that far and the atmosphere was awesome,” Lyle said. In between football and baseball, Lyle was a member of the varsity basketball team and member of the boys varsity track program. He would end up forgoing his final year of varsity football eligibility as a senior in 2016. Lyle didn’t go too far as he took on the role of student coach. “I definitely missed out from
