buried beside her husband in the United First Parish Church. A young lawyer named John Adams and Abigail fell in love. After a long engagement that her parents insisted on. Then they got married on October 24,1764 when Abigail was 19 and John was 28. Abigail Adams was the wife of John Adams, also the mother of John Quincy Adams. She is sometimes considered to have been a founder of the United States, and is now is the first second lady. Also just nine months after her marriage to John Adams.Abigail gave birth to six children and all of them lived in adulthood including Nabby,John Quincy born 1767, Charles was born 1770 and Thomas born 1772.

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that was on December 16 1773 at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston Massachusetts. - The French and Indian War was costly for the British. At the war's conclusion in 1763. King George 3 and his government looked to taxing the American colonies as a way of making them pay their war costs. In Boston the arrival of three tea ships had a furious reaction The crisis came to a head on December 16 1773 when as many as 7,000 locals milled about the wharf where the ships were docked. The battle of lexington was earlier that day. The battle had helped start the revolutionary war. This was another step though it was a larger fight and we won concord. The patriots did have the jump on the british troops.Because of Paul Revere's ride and telling them the british are coming.So we also knew some of the britishers fighting patterns and such. The patriots did a lot of Guerilla warfare. Knowing the british marched in formation and wore big red coats. So they would wear camo-ish clothing to get the jump on the british and in concord that didn't help because they were on a level area but they had killed off some soldiers so they did have that edge.

England is my city And it should be yours too If it is not then i will have pity Because we gettin litty England had been very tense for a very long time. It was not as tense as the thirteen colonies but everyone was still nervous about what was gonna happen. But the people that were living in Britan knew some thing was about to break out. If it came to war they knew they were in pretty good shape. England was very wealthy and there troops were very well trained for battle. They called the colinists Rebles because they were using there own recources to make their own tea and things like that. The king was not very happy with this. The colinists used this to show that they werent happy with the taxes. Once the war started the colonists didnt have as much recources as England. England was obviously worried because they were sending troops off to battle. But the troops could keep warm and have a decent sleep,while the rebels were fighting to keep warm. After the war the taxes were super high so the Engish colonies protested saying that the price of the war was not a price they were willing to pay.

George Washington was a General Commander in the Revolutionary War in 1775. George Washington led the americans through many battles some major battles were Lexington and Concord. George washington and his men had lost more battles then they had won,but in the end they were the ones who brought home the victory. When George washington and his men won Lexington and concord it was a big victory for them but they were not done. After those battles the British started to fight back harder and they started to win. Then washington got help from France and the americans started to win again. The last battle showed just how good of a leader Washington was because he never gave up and also came back stronger then before. washington and his men and French troops surrounded General Cornwallis and stayed there for 3 weeks and then Cornwallis surrender and the Americans had won the war.Question= What would the war have been like is washington had not been the leader of the american troops?

The Revolutionary war was a tough battle The British fought with Germans they bought They were highly trained and dangerous Even with the German troops, America still fought During the Revolutionary war, the British would hire German soldiers to fight, these soldiers were called “Hessians.” Great Britain hired 34,000 Germans, and more than half were from the Principality of Hesse-Kassel, which is why they were all called “Hessians.” They were also called “Mercenaries,” but that isn’t true, the soldiers had no choice because they were still in the army of their prince. They were forced to help Britain by their prince whether they wanted to or not. The Hessians were paid well, but didn’t get any bonuses for helping Great Britain. The Hessians played a big part in the Revolutionary War. Leopold Philip de Heister, a Hessian commander, and his troops beat the Americans at White Plains. William Von Knyphausen beat the American defenders and took Fort Washing. 40 to 50 percent of German soldiers didn’t return home. Many was because they were casualties, but others stayed in the US because of the freedom the US had to offer. How much did it cost Great Britain to get all those Hessian soldiers?

Also was a Prominent Patriot, and once was a Delegate from Massachusetts to the Continental Congress. Fourth President of the Continental Congress too. Was a signer if the Declaration of Independence he also was the one who wrote most of it. Hancock used wealth and influence to aid movement to the americans independence. He was a president of the Second Continental Congress from 1775 to 1777. When the Declaration of Independence was adopted and the United States was born. From 1780 to 1785 he was a Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. is for Minutemen and Militia

https://www.nps.gov/mima/learn/education/who-were-the-minute-men.htm Minutemen got their name because they were prepared for emergencies in a “minute’s notice.” A serviceable firearm was required to have by all able bodied men between the ages of 16 and 60, and served in a part-time citizen army called the Militia. Their duty was to defend the colony against chiefly the French and Indians. There was quite a few differences between Minutemen and Militia. One being, Minutemen volunteered to fight, while serving in the Militia was something required by law. The Minutemen also trained much more regularly then the Militia. Militia trained one time every few months, while Minutemen trained a few times per week. The Minutemen’s duties were to be ready in a minute’s notice, as stated above. This required them to have their arms and equipment with them at all times. Particularly during the last French and Indian war, the Militia sometimes fought alongside the british. Though because of mounting tensions between Great Britain and the American colonies, this won’t be going on for much longer. The Minutemen came to be, when it was decided to set aside a part of the Militia and form special companies called Minutemen.

It was described as the shot heard around the world. And then the war was later declared on April 19, 1775. After Lexington and Concord, a bunch of different battles broke out around the colonies. And even after the war ended it took awhile to the whole thirteen colonies to hear about it. Some of the most important battles of the war were the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Battle of Fort Washington, the Battle of Saratoga, and of course the Battle of Yorktown. In the Battle of Yorktown the Americans allied with the French. Together they cornered the British. The Leader at the time was Charles Cornwallis. After failing to escape by ship he eventually surrendered. As you can guess this was a huge turning point in the war. Mainly because it meant that the war was over. This was great for the Americans. After that win the Declaration of Independence went into play. Then eventually the Americans took their freedom as their own country. The Revolutionary War was good and bad for each sides of the war. Many people died and England lost money because of the tax that the troops costed. On the other hand America Won its independence and didn’t have to be taxed by england as bad anymore. Plus America still got to keep trade so they could have English goods. Why did england keep trade with the colonies after the war?

Please don’t make me pay taxes I only want some molassesses. Why is parliament so cruel We need to have a duel. The sugar act is a law passed by the British Parliament of Great Britain. The law was passed in 1764 and was also known as the American Revenue Act. The act put taxes on goods like sugar, molasses, and other products that were shipped to the colonies. The act was strictly enforced and had very harsh punishment of smugglers. Some of the colonist were very angry about his act and reacted with anger. The colonies thought that British Parliament had no right to tax them. The sugar act was repealed in 1766, and replaced with the Revenue Act of 1766. Question: Did the colonist know that Parliament basically kept the same law but under a different name?

T is for Trenton The turning of the war The hessians were no more.
In the late fall of 1776 washington's army wasn't doing so well and his men were dying, deserting and leaving scene there contracts were over. People were losing faith in the continental army and they needed a win to boost morale. Then Washington got an idea. It was Christmas day and he knew the hessens would be exhausted that night from celebrating and they wouldn't expect an attack on Christmas. So on christmas day Gorge and his army crossed the Delaware river and hiked miles to get to the hession held town of Trenton. Once there his men split up into two groups. One to rain down connon fire and one to attack. It was a huge success they won and in doing so captured 918 hessions. The victory at Trenton then the following victory at Princeton put faith back in the Continental army and people were re enlisting left and right.
Question: If they would they have won the Battle of Trenton would they have won the war

is for Uniforms of soldiers
The uniformes of both sides were very different at the beginning of the war. The Colonist uniforms were mainly trappers clothes, deerskin, or long brown coats. This gave the colonist an advantage because there clothing blended in with the landscape due to most of it being brown and green woods and forest. Later George Washington ordered that the official uniform would be blue and white pants and coats. This was rather stupid because it blew the camouflage advantage out of the water. However ranger, mountain, and militia units still used green and brown uniformes. Tories uniformes British uniforms were royal red to show that the soldiers belonged to the king. This made them stand out just about anywhere that's not a licorice factory. There uniformes remained the same throughout the war. The only thing that changed about there uniformes was that the hat was changed from a tall bronze helm to the standard hat you commonly see.

X is for the John Xavier John Xavier, who was also known as John Sevier, was a lieutenant of the North Carolina militia where his job was to protect the frontier states. He is best known for participating in the Battle of King’s Mountain. John and the other patriots were told to lay down their weapons or get hung when the loyalists and British got there. John Xavier and his troops did countless hits on the enemy's southern and Western sides while being camouflaged in the trees. They had to retreat countless times but finally managed to succeed. The final encounter between Xavier and his soldiers and the loyalists and British troops was when the loyalists and British did a suicidal charge down King’s Mountain and many loyalists and British died. In this fight, Xavier gained major respect from his fellow soldiers. Their respect for him is so great that it helped with his later political career. His help in the battle was invaluable. In the battle of Kings Mountain, The fighting was off and on, After the final encounter, The rebels became the surmounter.

Y Is for Yorktown

The battle in Yorktown was in the Revolutionary war. It was about George Washington’s victory and the surrendering of Cornwallis’s British army that had started on September 28th and ended on October 19, 1781. It was the end of the war for the colonists. In the battle the Americans had won the war. The Generals at the battle of Yorktown were, George Washington who lead the American Soldiers, Lieutenant-General de Rochambeau lead the French toops, and General Cornwallis. Two regiments of light dragoons served in America on the 16th and the 17th. There were also 500 british people that were fighting in the british army dead, 80 Americans, and 200 French were all dead. In Yorktown during the war, The Generals were, George washington,General de Rochambeau, and general cornwallis. These Generals had to make sure that things were well.
