The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan A Review by Nick U. Genre: Fantasy Student Rating: 5 out of 5 Stars In The Son of Neptune, Written by Rick Riordan, Percy is trying to find a camp for kids like him, however he has no memory of his past life (which was in a series before this one). When he reaches the camp two new characters are introduced Frank and Hazel. They were on guard duty, and they escorted Percy into the camp. While Percy’s at camp he discovers that his dad (Neptune) is cursed, at least that’s what the campers say. Also he finds out that a camper, Jason, disappeared. Hazel And Frank become Friends with Percy. They are threatened by a giant who has kidnapped death. All the monsters are coming back immediately after being killed. The main character is Percy. Percy changed when he regained his memory. He knew more so he fought better and remembered his past life. There are many social issues in the book. One of the social issues Percy faces is he has no memory and that makes him upset. Percy is unsure of who his old friends are. Not knowing makes him upset. I have rated this book 5 out of 5 stars because I believe that this book was writing the best it could be. It was one of the best books I have ever read. Overall, it was a great book.
