Last years Grand Finalists Bonbeach have dropped to 0-2 after a difficult opening fortnight which has seen the Sharks play the inform Frankston Bombers andDromanainRounds1&2.SamDunellhasbeena welcome addition to the Bonbeach line-up with the ex-St.KildaplayerlightingupDivision1inbothofhis opening games and alongside Co-Captains Beau Bailey and Mitch Gent give Bonbeach plenty to be optimisticaboutdespiteatoughstarttotheyear.

Langwarrin are still looking for their first win also, although there were signs of improvement with Langy taking Mt. Eliza right to the wire recording a draw last weekend at Emil Madsen Reserve. The Kangaroos have struggled to score during the first tworoundsandwillhavetofindsomemoreavenues togoaliftheyaretotoppleastrongBonbeachoutfit thisweekend.

HarryPauldebutedforLangwarrinlastweekendand played well alongside Josh Dormer and Matt PeynenborginLangy’sforwardlineandmaybewhat gets them over the line this weekend. Time will tell but this shapes to be a close encounter and will reveal where both teams are placed as the 2023 seasonrollson.

YCW have made short work of both Langwarrin and Sorrento in comprehensive displays which have showcased some of the Stonecatsyoungstersinbothoutings.LachlanBryce, HeathBidgood,JimmyCahillandDarcyMurrhaveall impressed in the opening two rounds and look to be thefutureofthisYCWside.

The Bombers have also seen the rise of several talented youngsters with Lachie Robinson, Jai Block, Bayleigh Welsh and Dan Didomenicantonio also loomingasthefutureoftheBombersfortheyearsto come.

Although the talented youngsters on display on Saturdaywillbeatalkingpoint,itmaycomedownto how well YCW curtails the experienced campaigners of Bombers Jarrad Grant, Jack Berry and Khan Harertukuastowhethertheyleavewiththe4points. Grant,BerryandHaretukuhavebeeninsomeserious form and will be crucial one way or the other to the resultofthisone.
