Although very much in the game up until the 4th quarter, Langwarrin were overpowered by a strong YCW side in the final stages of their Round 10 loss astheysit9thontheDivision1tablewithonly1win to their name to this point of the season. Blake Harkness, Josh Bateman and Harry Paul were the strongest performers the last night Langy met Mt. Eliza and will need to be at their best if the boys from Lloyd Park are to challenge a strong Redlegs line-up.

Despite losing to Pines last week, Mt. Eliza are still one of the in-form sides in Division One and with class across every line they will take some beating if Langwarrin are to walk away with the 4-points. Youngster Jasper O’Neill one of his best games of the year for the Redlegs last week, kicking 3 goals in an exciting display from the midfielder. Defenders Tom Freeman & Nick Bob Girolami were also strong in defeat last week, combining for 39 disposals and 16 marks in a dominant display to keeptheirsideinituntilthefinalsiren.

DromanavsBonbeach

Top plays bottom as 1st meets 10th at Dromana Recreation Reserve in Round 11. Although sitting at the bottom of the ladder, Bonbeach have impressed in recent weeks are by no means easy beats.Dromanawillneedtobeattheirbestifthey are to record their 11th win in a row as they host a Sharkssidewithlotstoprove.

The Sharks are coming and are consistently challenging sides week-in and week-out. Although losing to the Bombers last week they showed why theyaren’tasidethatcanbetakenlightlydespite theirplaceat10thontheDivisionOneladder.Beau Bailey continued his prolific form with another 40 possessions and 11 rebound 50s last week and alongside Mitch Gent and Liam Hulett have been consistently been among Bonbeach’s best players throughoutthefirst10roundsoftheseason.

Adding another win to their impressive resume in 2023, Dromana saw a number of their high-profile players star as they continued their winning ways at the top of the Division One table. Wingman Harry McKenzie was excellent last week, kicking 2 goalsandcollectingplentyoftheballastheTigers blew away a tough Red Hill side in Round 9 whilst Billy Quigley, Nic Collier and Ethan Johnstone also shined. Bonbeach will need to keep an eye on ruckman Billy Geurts who had 34 disposals, 33 hitouts and 7 clearances in a monster effort, and has been one of the most impressive players in all ofDivisionOnetothispointintheseason.
