Round10sawCribPointhostPearcedaleatthenest. After a 23-goal loss to Crib Point last time these two sides met in Round 2, they were eager to see their progressionandimprovementsbothoncourtandon thescoreboard.

Pearcedale stepped on the court with their minds switched to netball playing a solid and exciting first quarter. The ongoing issue of Crib Point's ability to start the game with intensity let them down again thisweekasPearcedalejumpedouttoa7-goallead at quarter time. In a hard-fought match for the remainingthreequarters,CribPointmanagedtowin eachofthelastthreequartersthatmadethis close right up to the very last minute. However, the Panthers held their composure and put immense pressureallthewaydownthecourt,convertingwhen they needed to hold onto the lead by 2 goals as the match ended. The Magpies were incredibly positive with their performance, and it acknowledged the depth of players and the team morale they are buildingwillproveitselftobeworthitinthebackend ofthisseasonandtheseasonstocome!
Next week Pearcedale look to take on the reigning premiers and undefeated Somerville and will focus on own goals and improving from the last time they met,andCribPointwillheadtoRye.
HASTINGS(32)vKARINGAL(65)
Ahardfoughtoutmatchindifficultwindyconditions, Karingal headed to Hastings. The hosts will look to have a positive improvement to their last contest in Round2.
Karingal started strong with plenty of pressure and run through the midcourt to allow for and early lead by12goalsatquartertime.AsHastingsonlyhadthe seven players to rotate, they pushed through the second quarter and made this contest competitive. Sussu Liai and Madelina Nyoul in defence for the hosts got a lot of turnovers, but unfortunately the team could not convert to as many goals as they would have liked. They continued with some great passages of play throughout which was a real positive and takeout of this match, but the Bullettes continuedwithasolidperformanceacrosstheentire court with shots sinking from everywhere even in the trying conditions. The last quarter presented as a goodopportunitytomixafewdifferentcombinations for the visitors and were able to finish off with a 33goalwin.AmarginthatHastingswouldhavewanted to reduce even further, it was a vast improvement to theirpreviousperformanceagainsttheBullettes.
Hastings will head to Bunguyan Reserve against Tyabb who will come out strong in an attempt to keeptheirfinalschancesalive,andKaringalwillneed tomaintainattheirbestagainstChelsea.
