Rye went into this match with nearly all of the A Grade squad available, allowing for rotations and different combinations. After a slow start their last coupleofweeks, theDemonsstartedstrongthisweek which was a welcomed change. Defensively they were getting lots of ball back with Sienna Wills havingherbestgameoftheseasonandJessHosking interceptingmanypassesthatwentintothepockets. ThishelpedtheDemonsleadby9atthemajorbreak. A better and more consistent performance by the Doggiesinthesecondhalfallowedthemtostaywith Rye, but the hosts were pushed wide to the outside channels, creating great angles for the Demons and to pick off easy feeds. As the final whistle went, Rye werevictorsby12goals.

TYABB(35)vSEAFORD(44)
Just 5 goals separated these two teams in Round 2 with that win going to the way of Seaford, but with finals chances in the Yabbies sights, this could be a greatcontest.
The first quarter didn’t disappoint with only a 2-goal difference to the advantage of the Tigers. As more could have been delivered by the visitors, changes were made and Ella Quinlan was inserted in GS and their lead increased out to 7 goals. Greta Hankinson and Kellie Anderson stepped in for Tyabb as they missed a few players who were travelling in Europe, but battled hard against this quality opposition. The lead extended to 12 at three quarter time, but the Yabbiesheldtheirownandheldstronginthelastto winthequarterandshortenthedeficitto9goals.
Tyabb will look to get back on the winners board againstHastingstokeeptheirfinalshopesalive, and SeafordheaddownthePeninsulaagainstRye.
