ABOUT US

Discover the unique intersection of style and community impact at 1705WEST – Atlanta’s premier event space with a purpose. In 2022, Meals On Wheels Atlanta (MOWA) completed a transformative facility renovation that includes a world-class demonstration kitchen, unique event spaces, and conference rooms. Designed by nationally renowned Design Galleria Kitchen and Bath Studio, and industry-leading architecture firm ASD│SKY, 1705WEST seamlessly blends the beauty of indoors and the allure of outdoors, making it the perfect backdrop for a wide range of corporate and private events. All proceeds from rentals support MOWA’s home-delivered meals program.

MOWA was founded in 1965 to support seniors struggling with poverty, food insecurity, and social isolation. Over nearly 60 years, we have grown from a small soup kitchen to an organization serving more than 525,0000 meals to seniors throughout the Atlanta area each year.

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS

50% of the rental fee is due with the return of the signed rental agreement. The date of the event is not reserved until this payment and the signed rental agreement are received. The rental fee is non-refundable. The balance of the rental fee is due (5) business days prior to your event.

*1705WEST accepts payments in the form of cash, certified check or credit card. A 3.5% credit card fee applies to all credit card transactions.

FINAL FLOOR PLAN

A walk-through with all involved parties is required at least two weeks in advance of the event.

Final floor plan changes are due to 1705WEST three business days prior to the event.

EVENT RENTAL BREAKDOWN

Rental Fee includes use of (10) 60” round tables, 90 chairs, (5) 6ft tables and existing furniture, as well as access to the 120-space parking lot. The Rental Fee includes 2 hours of setup time, 4 hours of event time, and 2 hours of breakdown time.

PREFERRED CATERERS

1705WEST provides our clients a list of preferred caterers who have been vetted to work in our spaces and provide a variety services and pricing. Many of our preferred caterers are happy to work with a variety of different restaurants and caterers to provide specialty cuisine for your event.

If you would like to bring in a caterer who is not on our preferred caterers list, a $2,000.00 Catering Fee will apply. Caterer must provide a copy of its current, unexpired caterer business license, and current unexpired Certificate of Liability Insurance before being allowed access to the premises.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

Outdoor events must include an indoor inclement weather plan. Final decisions on rain plans must be made 24 hours in advance of the setup time.

If there is lightning or unsafe weather conditions, all guests and staff outside or under a tent will need to go into a nearby building for their safety for 30 minutes, or until it is safe to go back outside.
