We are very excited to welcome the more than thirty athletes, of 15 nationalities, who will take part in this amazing competition, integrated in this edition of Sky Gran Canaria. We want to make your stay easier, so that you only have to focus on competing and enjoying the courses around our island, which we hope you will fall in love with. Therefore, we have prepared this guide, with information of interest to you, about accommodation and locations. We will be at your disposal for anything you may need during your stay

Nos hace muchísima ilusión dar la bienvenida a los más de treinta atletas, de 15 nacionalidades, que van a tomar parte en esta competición excepcional, integrada en esta edición de Sky Gran Canaria. Queremos facilitarte tu estancia, para que solo tengas que centrarte en competir, y en disfrutar de unos recorridos por nuestra isla, que esperamos te enamoren. GRAN CANARIA
The island. Gran Canaria, a miniature continent.
With average annual temperatures ranging from 18ºC in winter to 25ºC in summer, Gran Canaria has a mild climate practically all year round. This good weather is the result of the cool and humid trade winds from the Azores anticyclone. The combination of the trade winds and the mountainous orography of the island make its areas one of the places with the best climate in the Canary Islands, and practically the whole European continent.
One of the most striking curiosities of Gran Canaria's climate is its great diversity of microclimates, with temperatures that can vary by several degrees depending on the area of the island where we are. In Sky Gran Canaria, participants will be able to feel the contrast in temperatures as we go deeper into the heart of the island, where nature shows us wonders such as the laurel forests. Very different and contrasting landscapes are produced between the north and the south. That is why Gran Canaria is well known as "the miniature continent".
Contemplating the sea of clouds.
Another of the most impressive phenomena derived from our special climate is the sea of clouds, which can be observed from the highest points of Gran Canaria. This phenomenon is produced thanks to the trade winds, which push the clouds against the ravines and hillsides causing a spectacular optical effect, which can only be observed in a few places in the world. To observe the sea of clouds, it is necessary to climb to the highest points of the island, some 1,700 metres above sea level. In the Llanos de la Pez or the Pico del Pozo de las Nieves you can see this unique phenomenon on the islands.
AGAETE
Agaete will welcome all the athletes participating in the FINALISSIMA, who will be able to enjoy a very different place from the usual. Agaete is one of those few places that still conserves the charm of a fishing village. A beautiful corner located in the north of Gran Canaria that has stood still in time. Agaete is a village that still retains the spirit that permeates the air of the seaside neighbourhoods. It has a landscape that has been blessed with the beauty of cliffs that lead to a sea of ravines submerged in the ocean, where the finish line of Sky Gran Canaria is.
GRAN CANARIA
Gran Canaria, un continente en miniatura
Con temperaturas medias anuales que oscilan entre los 18ºC en invierno y los 25ºC en verano, Gran Canaria mantiene un clima suave prácticamente durante todo el año. Éste buen tiempo es producto de los vientos alisios, húmedos y frescos, provenientes del anticiclón de las Azores. La mezcla entre los Alisios y la orografía montañosa de la isla convierten sus zonas de en uno de los lugares con mejor clima de Canarias, y prácticamente, de todo el continente europeo.
Una de las curiosidades más llamativas del clima de Gran Canaria es su gran diversidad de microclimas, con temperaturas que pueden variar varios grados dependiendo de la zona de la isla donde nos encontremos. En Sky Gran Canaria los participantes podrán sentir el contraste de las temperaturas conforme nos vamos adentrando hacia el corazón de la isla, donde la naturaleza nos muestra maravillas como los bosques de laurisilva. Paisajes muy diferentes y contrastados se producen entre el norte y el sur. Por eso Gran Canaria es bien llamada "el continente en miniatura".
Contemplar el mar de nubes
Otro de los fenómenos más impresionantes derivados de nuestra especial climatología, es el mar de nubes, que puede observarse desde los puntos más elevados de Gran Canaria. Un fenómeno que se produce gracias a los vientos alisios, que empujan las nubes contra los barrancos y laderas provocando un efecto óptico espectacular, que tan sólo puede observarse en unos pocos lugares del mundo. Para poder observar el mar de nubes, es necesario ascender a los puntos más elevados de la isla, a unos 1.700 metros de altura. En los Llanos de la Pez o el Pico del Pozo de las Nieves se puede ver este fenómeno único en las islas.
AGAETE
Agaete acogerá a todos los atletas participantes en la FINALISSIMA, que podrán disfrutar de un lugar muy diferente a lo habitual. Agaete es uno de esos pocos lugares que todavía conservan el encanto de un pueblo marinero. Un hermoso rincón ubicado en el norte de Gran Canaria que se ha detenido en el tiempo. Agaete es un pueblo que aún conserva ese espíritu que impregna el aire de los barrios marineros. Tiene un paisaje que ha sido bendecido con la belleza de unos riscos que desembocan en un mar de barrancos sumergidos en el océano: la meta de Sky Gran Canaria.
YOUR ACCOMMODATION
HOTEL PUERTO DE LAS NIEVES
All athletes are accommodated in the four-star Hotel Puerto de las Nieves, just one minute away from the sea. The rooms, which are shared, are quite spacious, and the hotel service is very friendly. Breakfast is included in the accommodation, and you have access to the spa.
Breakfast opens at 7:00 am. In case you need it, the hotel offers an early breakfast service, starting at 5:00 am. Do not forget to ask for it in advance at the reception.

Todos los atletas estáis alojados en el Hotel Puerto de las Nieves, de cuatro estrellas, a tan solo un minuto del mar. Las habitaciones, compartidas, son bastante amplias, y el servicio del hotel es muy amable. En el alojamiento tenéis incluido el desayuno, y podéis acceder al spa.
El desayuno abre a las 7:00 am. En caso de que lo necesitéis, el hotel os ofrece el servicio de desayuno temprano, desde las 5:00 h. No olvidéis solicitarlo con antelación en la recepción.

EL DEDO DE DIOS RESTAURANT
The Organization offers dinner service for the athletes. Every day you can dine at the restaurant El Dedo de Dios. Emblematic and in an incomparable location, as it is integrated in the very beach of El Dedo de Dios, where before a storm destroyed it, there was a beautiful natural sculpture that was a symbol for the whole Canarian archipelago
This restaurant will offer you a menu designed for you and made mostly with zero-kilometre products. The menu includes bottled water as a drink. Dinner time is at 7:00 p.m. We ask you to try to be punctual! The restaurant is about a five-minute walk from the hotel, in the direction of the harbour and the beach.
If you have any food intolerance, vegan diet or similar, please inform the organisation as soon as possible at coordinacion@mooovetorun.com to take it into account and adapt the menu.

La Organización ofrece un servicio de cena a los atletas.Todos los días podréis cenar en el restaurante El Dedo de Dios. Emblemático y en una ubicación inigualable, ya que se encuentra integrado en la mismísima playa del Dedo de Dios, donde antes de que un temporal lo destruyera, se encontraba una preciosa escultura natural que era todo un símbolo para todo el archipiélago canario.
Este restaurante os ofrecerá un menú pensado para vosotros, y realizado con productos de kilómetro cero en su mayoría. El menú incluye como bebida agua embotellada. La hora de la cena es a las 7:00 pm. ¡Os pedimos que intentéis ser puntuales!
Si tenéis alguna intolerancia alimenticia, dieta vegana o similar, os rogamos que por favor informéis a la organización lo antes posible, al correo coordinacion@mooovetorun.com para tenerlo en cuenta y poder adaptaros el menú.
YOUR TRANSPORTS
AIRPORT
The organisation offers you a pick-up service from the airport, which we have planned according to the arrival time and flights that you have provided us with. This transport will take you to the Hotel Puerto de las Nieves. This same service will take you to the airport when you return home. The airport of Gran Canaria is 56 km away from Agaete, about forty-five minutes by car on the motorway. If there are any changes to your flights and timetables, please inform us as soon as possible.
For checking out, calculate the distance and the time it takes to get to the airport, and the departure time of your flight. If you must be at the airport one hour before the departure of your flight, we suggest checking out two hours before departure.
RACES
The organisation will provide a bus service to take you from Agaete to the start of the race. The bus stop is in front of your hotel.
The timetable of the transport is as follows:
Saturday 14. Valsir Mountain Running World Cup. Long Distance.
7:45 h.: Departure time. Two vans of the Organisation will take you to Tunte, to the start of the Long Distance Finalissima. Please be ready at 7:30 am at the hotel lobby. The same transport will take you back to Agaete at the end of the race.
Sunday 15 Valsir Mountain Running World Cup. Classic.
7:00 h.: Departure time of the bus that will take you to Artenara, to the start of the Classic Finalissima. You should be at the bus stop half an hour before the bus departure, at 6:30 am.
Remember to bring your bib and the mandatory equipment with you.
Note: the start of the Valsir Mountain Running World Cup Uphill is at the Plaza de la Constitución, in Agaete, located less than ten minutes' walk from your hotel. Athletes will have to be at the
VUESTROS TRANSPORTES
AEROPUERTO
La organización pone a vuestra disposición un servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto, que hemos planificado conforme a la hora de llegada y vuelos que nos habéis facilitado. Este transporte os llevará al Hotel Puerto de las Nieves. Este mismo servicio os llevará al aeropuerto cuando retornéis a casa. El aeropuerto de Gran Canaria se encuentra a 56 Km. de distancia de Agaete, unos cuarenta y cinco minutos en coche por autopista. Si vuestros vuelos y horarios hubiesen sufrido alguna variación, os rogamos que por favor nos lo informéis cuanto antes. Para el check out calculad la distancia y el tiempo que se tarda al aeropuerto, y el horario de salida de vuestro vuelo. Os sugerimos, si tenéis que estar una hora antes de la salida de vuestro vuelo en el aeropuerto, que hagáis el check out con dos horas de antelación a la salida.
CARRERAS
La organización pone a disposición de los participantes un servicio de autobús, para trasladaros desde Agaete a cada salida. La parada de autobús está situada enfrente de vuestro hotel.
El horario del transporte es el siguiente:
Sábado 14 Valsir Moutanin Running World Cup. Long Distance.
7:45 h.: hora de salida. Dos furgonetas de la Organización os trasladarán a Tunte, a la salida de la Finalissima de la Long Distance. Os pedimos por favor que estéis preparados a las 7:30 h. en la recepción del hotel.
El mismo transporte os llevará de vuelta a Agaete, al finalizar la carrera.
Domingo 15 Valsir Moutanin Running World Cup. Classic.
7:00 h.: Hora de salida del autobús que os trasladará a Artenara, a la salida de la Finalissima de la Classic. Deberéis estar en la parada del autobús media hora antes, es decir, a las 6:30 h.
Recordad llevar con vosotros el dorsal y el material obligatorio.
Nota: la salida de la Valsir Mountain Running World Cup Uphill está en la Plaza de la Constitución, en Agaete, situada a menos de diez minutos andando desde vuestro hotel. Los atletas tendrán que estar en el lugar de salida al menos 30 minutos antes de su hora de salida, descrita en su dorsal.
GPS DEVICE
All participants in the Valsir Mountain Running World Cup, Finalissima, must carry a GPS device, with which the Organization will be able to locate you and follow you more exhaustively during your race.
The GPS will be given to you each day of the race, before the start, and you will also have to return it each day at the finish line. In other words, if you are competing in two distances, you will receive a different GPS each day. The device can be worn on your backpack or in your belt. If you don't have one, the organisation will provide you with a simple belt.
DISPOSITIVO GPS
Todos los participantes en la Valsir Mountain Running World Cup, Finalissima, tienen que portar un dispositivo GPS, con el que la Organización os tendrá localizados y podrá haceros un seguimiento más exhaustivo durante vuestra carrera. El GPS se os entregará cada día de carrera, antes de la salida, y tendréis que devolverlo también cada día en la meta. Es decir, los que competís en dos distancias, recibiréis un GPS diferente cada día. El dispositivo puede llevarse en el cinturón o en la mochila. En caso de que no tengas, la organización te facilitará un cinturón sencillo.
COLLECTION OF BIB NUMBERS
The timetable established by the Organisation for the collection of bibs is as follows:
Thursday 12th. From 4:00 to 8 pm.
Friday 13th. From 11:00 am. to 3:00 pm.
The delivery of bibs is in the EXPO area located in the esplanade of Puerto de las Nieves, in Agaete (next to Puerto de las Nieves Shopping Centre).
If due to your travel schedule you cannot go to the Expo, the Organization will take care of delivering it to your hotel before your race.

El horario que tiene establecido la Organización para la entrega de dorsales es el siguiente:

Si por tus horarios de viaje no puedes ir a la Expo, la Organización se encargará de entregártelo en el hotel, antes de tu carrera.

CLOAKROOM OR BAG DROP ON EACH START
At the SKY TPT35 Long Distance and SKY A6 Uphill starts, there will be a cloakroom where you can leave your change bag or backpack.
At the start of SKY AA21 Classic, where you will go in the Organization bus, only one bag will be available for collection: the gymbag that was given to you at the bib collection. Only this bag will be collected, no other bag or backpack will be accepted.The bag must have the label given to you at the bib collection, which will identify it with your bib number. The organizers will take all the bags to the cloakroom located in the Hotel Puerto de las Nieves, where you will be able to collect it when you arrive in Agaete.
GUARDARROPA O RECOGIDA DE BOLSOS EN CADA SALIDA
En las salidas de SKY TPT35 Long Distance y SKY A6 Uphill, habrá un guardarropa para que puedas dejar tu bolso de cambio o tu mochila.
En la salida de SKY AA21 Classic, a la que irás en el bus de organización, se habilitará la recogida de un bolso: el gymbag que te entregaron en la entrega de dorsales. Sólo se recogerá dicho bolso, ningún otro bolso o mochila diferente se admitirá.El bolso deberá llevar la etiqueta que te entregaron en la retirada de dorsales, y que lo identificará con tu número de dorsal correspondiente. La Organización llevará todos los bolsos al guardarropa ubicado en el Hotel Puerto de las Nieves, donde podrás recogerlo cuando llegues a Agaete.
MANDATORY MATERIAL
The referees of the Spanish Athletics Federation will check the mandatory material indicated in the rules. All athletes must pass through the access corridors to the marked area of the start for the control of the bib and mandatory material (call room). The mandatory material may be totally or partially controlled at the start, course, and finish line. Failure to carry it may be cause for penalty and even disqualification, so it is important that you carry it from the start to the finish line.The use of poles is allowed, if they are carried from the start or are picked up/dropped off at the personalized aid stations and, or they are brought to the finish line with you. The fact of leaving or picking up the poles during the race at unauthorized points will be sanctioned with disqualification.
MATERIAL OBLIGATORIO
Los jueces de la Federación española de atletismo revisarán el material obligatorio indicado en el reglamento Todos los atletas deberán pasar obligatoriamente por los pasillos de acceso a la zona acotada de salida para el control de dorsal y material obligatorio (cámara de llamada). El material obligatorio que se podrá controlar total o parcialmente en salida, recorrido y meta. No portarlo puede ser motivo de penalización y hasta descalificación, por eso es importante que llevéis desde la salida hasta la meta. El uso de bastones está permitido, siempre que se porten desde la salida o se recojan/dejen en los puntos de asistencia personalizada y, en caso de no existir estos puntos, se llegue con ellos a meta.
