Adult Group Violin You can learn to play the violin, and play it well, as an adult. A group class is a great way to start. Not only will you will get feedback on your progress, you will also be motivated to practice and have fun making music with others. At the end of eight weeks, you will play with good posture and physical set up, be able play simple melodies, develop your pitch and rhythm and read simple music. No musical experience is necessary. $175 CRN 1958

Jazz Improv Do you find the idea of improvisation daunting or overwhelming? This program is designed to demystify the world of jazz improvisation in a relaxed and comfortable environment. You will be set up with the tools to help you take your skills as an improviser to the next level. By the end of the seven-week course, you will have improved your musical skills, have more confidence in spontaneous music making, and have increased your ability to express yourself away from the confines of written music. While no improvisation experience is required, in order to get the most out of this course, participants should be sufficiently competent on their instrument. All instruments welcome. $175
